I could go for a piece of cake right about now

School is done for today. There is officially one week left.

Our teacher got bummed out today because we always leave early and he said we weren't allowed to leave until 12:30 today!! Which is crazy for a Friday because normally on Fridays he lets us out no later than 11. We went to the pub for beers as usual and split a pizza between us. All in all I spent 5 bucks (that includes tip) on a couple slices of pizza and a few glasses of beer. It wasn't my turn to buy the pitcher today! Gotta love those days.

We ended up going back to class at about noon. Our lunch is supposed to be over at 11:30 but the pizza took forever and was grossly undercooked. It was like soup on dough, no jokes.

We get back to the classroom and our teacher hadn't even been back yet. Then he walks in a few minutes later and tells us to go home if we want. What a waste of our time. We could have just left at 11!

We have one last test on Monday and that's basically it. We'll be in the shop after that working on our project, then we're done.

I found out today that one of the guys in my class is also engaged and getting married May long weekend of THIS year. He proposed just before he came to school he said. I had to ask if she was pregnant hahaha. He says she's not. After four weeks of hanging out and being in the same class this was the first time he'd ever even mentioned having a girlfriend, let alone a fiancé ... talk about dropping a bomb. Nobody knew! It was so outta no where.

The test today ended up being incredibly easy. Moe told us he was going to give us the hard question on the test so we all studied for it, and I was shitting my pants because I missed that lesson and had no idea what was going on. I spent about an hour or two last night just staring at the same question until I finally figured out where the numbers were coming from. I figured I finally had it and decided to go to sleep. I get there and he gives us the easiest question ever and tells us to do the math for it then build a model out of cardboard. I somehow screwed up on one piece, and even though it was a test we all ended up working together as per usual. On the piece I screwed up, since I had already cut it out I couldn't fix it without having to re-draw it all over again, I stole Mike's and traced it so I didn't have to redo it.

Poor matt screwed up 3 out of 4 pieces and ended up tracing some other peoples too haha. Everyone was tracing everyones it seemed. Or at least comparing pieces to make sure they were all the same size.

One of the guys in the class showed up today with two broken fingers (pinky and ring finger) and they were in splints and wrapped up with a tensor bandage up to his elbow. I asked him what he did and he said he punched a window at service canada because they were pissing him off...

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're breaking your pinky and ring fingers when you punch something, you are clearly not punching properly because if you were ... then A) you probably wouldn't have broken any fingers... and B) if in the rare chance you punched the window hard enough to bust your hand then the window would have probably broken. But that's just my opinion.

I might spend about an hour this afternoon having a nap. I'm very behind on my sleep and wouldn't mind getting a little nap in before heading over to the Ciavarro's tonight.

It's going to be a busy weekend. A wedding tomorrow, (missing UFC tomorrow which is a major boourns because its George St. Pierre vs. B.J. Penn and the fight is going to be insane!!) and then superbowl Sunday of course. Church Sunday morning too I do believe. I'm sure the weekend will just fly by!

Back to Basics

This is pretty much what my life has consisted of in the past few weeks.

Today in particular.

I have a test tomorrow and another one on Monday then that's basically it for school. One more shop project which we're working in partners for so Thursday is actually our last working day. Friday we come in to find out our grades but that's all we're there for. Pretty crazy how fast 5 weeks just went by!

Currently I'm taking a quick break from my homework. I'm a little stressed out about it actually. It'll probably be the test I do the worst on. Obviously I have assumed that before, but I've missed two days and both days that I missed were to do with the test tomorrow which kind of sucks. The question that is on the test is the example I missed and it's apparently the hardest one. And according to our teacher tomorrow's question will be harder than the one he gave us. Lame!

Can't wait till it's over actually.

I was at safeway earlier and they had 5 little tulips for 3.99 and they are the exact colors that I want to use in my bouquet for the wedding, so I bought them to use as inspiration. Inspiration for what you say? I don't know really, I don't have much I need inspiration for at this moment, but they are very pretty. Unfortunately my camera was dying before I could take a picture of those too, so maybe tomorrow.

Tomorrow night Dario and I are heading over to Danielle and Chads. Miss Alicia will also be joining us and us three girls will do a bunch of girly wedding crap for a bit while the boys watch their sports I'm assuming. I'm looking forward to it though, I need to get out of my house, I'm going stir crazy this week!

Saturday we have a wedding to go to so that will take up the entire day. Starting early also. Michela (Dario's santoli's daughter) asked if I would do her hair for the wedding so I said yes of course! I'm really looking forward to it!

Sunday is obviously the super bowl. I'm going to play housewife and just make food and pretend I'm interested in it. Really, all I care about is the commercials. I'm hoping that wherever we are watching it this year that it'll have the good commercials! I doubt it though. In which case I will resort back to making food, eating so much more than I need to, and again, pretending I care about football. I might even yell at the tv once or twice in excitement just to psych people out.

I have to go for blood tests next week. I don't really HAVE to but I figured I would. I'm still debating holding off on them since I just donated blood and one of the tests is to get a complete hematology profile. It will probably tell them my iron is lacking and they'll freak out so to save myself having to explain I may just wait.

Aside from that, next week so far is kind of free. Dario and I are working on finding a photographer and then all the biggies are booked/planned. In a few weeks we'll be starting our marriage prep courses as well so that'll keep us busy at least one night a week for awhile. I guess the next thing for me to do is keep an eye out for some cheap cardstock deals for invitations and start thinking of ideas. Lots to do but I am definitely way ahead of myself already. Colours are finalized so now all the fun stuff begins!

I finally ordered some new contacts, in the proper prescription this time. I am usually -1.25 in my left eye and -1.00 in my right... I was wearing -1.00 in both eyes because my eye doctor told me it wouldn't make any difference. She lied like a son of a bitch. She also recommended really crappy contacts that "last for three months." As I shopped online I discovered they're only weekly contacts so that would be why after a month of wearing them they'd start pissing my eyes off real bad. Yugh!

This time I went for the proper prescription and ordered the acuvue oasis contacts. I put them in tonight to try them out and they are significantly better than the pieces of shit I was wearing before. I was very aware that I was wearing contacts when I used the old ones... these ones I don't feel at all in my eyes which is nice. Also, I can actually see and they're not giving me a major headache like my other ones. Kind of nice! I think I'll stick to these ones now.

Anyways, back to homework for another 15 minutes and then I'm off to bed!

Baby Perizzolo

Congratulations to Sara and Steve Perizzolo on their brand new baby girl!! She finally arrived very early this morning!

I can hardly wait to meet her! <3

Goosebumps really accentuate my arm hair

It is 2:30 in the morning and I can't sleep. I'm dead tired but have a major aching cramp in the area of my right ovary, again...

Since I still don't know if I'm allergic to anti-inflammatories, I've avoided taking them since I had that really weird allergic reaction. Tonight however is a different story, and I am willing to try anything to make the cramps go away even if it puts me in the hospital in the next hour. I am really hoping that it was the kind of lunch meat I ate that night that I am allergic to so that I can start taking anti-inflammatories again. They are pretty much crucial in relieving at least some of the pain... so here's hoping.

I picked my ring up today since I finally decided I would definitely need to have it sized. I was hoping maybe it was just cause my fingers were cold, but no even when they swell right up it was still too big. It turned out that I was actually a size 6 not a size 7. They told me I could pick my ring up on Friday but they called today and said it was already done so that was kind of nice.

I'm reading up on endometriosis tonight and I found something rather interesting. The last pill I was on I felt like it wasn't helping with the pain at all, in fact it felt like it was almost worse than it was when I wasn't taking the pill. Tonight I decided (since I'm up with nothing to do) to see if there's any sort of relation. I went off my pill a few months ago and have found it's been a little better. I went back on a new pill and I've found I've felt like shit every day this week. It's hard to find any information on endo that isn't the same as every other website you go to, but I did find one that talked about the possibilities of what causes endometriosis. This is one of the theory's:

"Dr. Deborah Metzger have been working on the idea that edometriosis is actually an allergetic reaction. They have found that their patients appear to have a large number of allergies, including allergies to their own hormones such as Progesterone, LH, Estrodil, and also to Candida (yeast). So in patients who have allergies to hormones, the standard treatment of taking estrogen or progesterone in the form of "the pill" can actually cause the endometriosis to become worse, depending on which particualar allergy they have and the pill they are taking. By treating these allergies, sometimes combined with surgical removal, they have found that this seems to provide relief."

I found it all quite interesting. Since it could explain as to why I feel like I'm in more pain when I'm on the pill than when I'm not. But again, they will probably never know what causes it. It is a medical mystery apparently. Whateva.

I have to get up in 3 hours to get ready for school so that oughtta be interesting. I have a suspicion I'll be pulling an all nighter.

In other news, my roommate went out on a date tonight and has yet to come home. Since its 3am I doubt she's going to. Hopefully she's not dead in a ditch and is just spending the night with this guy.

Well I suppose I should just go watch a movie and wait for either pain to go away, or an allergic reaction to possibly set in. This should be a rather annoying night.

It is a sad sad day.

I didn't think the day would come where I would finally decide to retire my most loved piercing... My nape. I got it pierced nearly 3 years ago and decided tonight I would finally take it out.

It was once perfect, now you can see the slight redness from the irritation.

It has been irritating me these past couple of days, and it is sore. Normally I wait it out and it goes away but it's starting to get irritated more frequently these days, and it is only a matter of time before it gets to a point where it will cause scar damage.

To date I have retired: 2 lip rings, 2 anti-eyebrows (my 2nd favourite piercing), one bellybutton, 2 stretched ears (3/8's of an inch,) 2 helix's, 4 lobes, and now my favourite piercing of them all, my nape.

The first time around:

The second time around:

And the removal of the 2nd time around:

:(

I keep getting this feeling that I may just end up putting it back in tonight but I am going to try not to let myself. It needs to heal up, there is a lot of scar tissue build up in that particular area already and now that it is out I realize just how much scar tissue built up underneath the piercing, there's quite a lump there now. But it could be worsened since it is irritated at this time.

Sigh. At least I could hear the sounds of a toilet being brought into the house upstairs. That is good news.

How annoying.

UGH. I am SO irritated. The toilet has been broken since we moved in. There's a piece of it thats busted off but it has never been an issue. The other problem we had, was that the toilet does not refill itself, so you have to take the lid off the tank, and push down on the lever thing and it starts to fill up again. Again, an inconvenience but not a major deal.

My landlords said when we moved in 'yeah we're going to fix the toilet don't worry we'll do that next week.'

Mmhmm. Well next week came and went. And no fixed toilet. Whatever it's not broken to the point that you can't use it.

We moved in here in March. Still, the toilet has yet to be fixed. Over the Christmas break Krystal was gone, and I was leaving for a week. I talked to our landlords and let them know that both of us would be away for that week and the day before I left the hot water in the kitchen wouldn't work. Sure enough, the pipe had froze. Again, no big deal. They said they would fix that over Christmas break, and I asked them if while they were down there they could maybe seal up the livingroom window since it's crazy cold down here all the time.

My landlord (the girl) agreed and said she would get her husband to do it. Her husband came down before I left for FSJ to ask how the toilet was also. I said it needed to be fixed but that it was useable. He said he would replace it.

I came back from FSJ and he said him and his wife would be going to Home Depot that same week to get a new toilet.

Well that week came and went. And now it's the end of January and still no toilet. Again, it was useable, so whatever.

Today, I come home from school. I have to piss like a racehorse. So bad that in fact I was debating peeing before I left school but decided, nah I'll just pee when I get home, I can hold it until then.

I walk to Dario's house from BCIT... pick up my car, and drive home. I get inside the house, drop my backpack and purse and head straight for the bathroom. And what do I find when I get there??

Water on the floor.

Sometimes when you have a shower if the curtain isn't closed properly you can get a bunch of water on the floor. Since the water was in that exact same area I figured Krystal must have taken a shower and didn't realize (or didn't care) that she'd gotten water all over the floor. So I grabbed a towel and started wiping it up. Finally I couldn't take it any longer and had to pee. The water is wiped up, I put the towel off to the side and I go for the toilet. And that's when I see it.

There is a fucking crack from the top to the bottom of the actual TANK that holds the water. And oh yes, that tank is empty. Luckily for us, whoever last used the toilet didn't refill the tank with water. The tank cracked after that and only spilled out what was left in the tank (which was only about an inch deep.)

So I'm pissed off. I have to fucking pee and I can't even handle it. I change my clothes since the bottoms of my pants were a little wet with toilet water, and I go outside and upstairs to our landlords front door. I ring the doorbell and she comes to the door.

"Hi I'm on a conference call, can you come back or is it urgent?"

So I'm like "uh it's kind of urgent. Our toilet is completely busted, the tank cracked from top to bottom and spilled water everywhere. We need a new toilet."

"Oh well do you have the number for a plumber?"

So by this point I was ready to fucking lose it. I have to fucking piss like a racehorse, she doesn't give two shits about the fact that WE CAN'T GO TO THE BATHROOM RIGHT NOW!! and so I'm like "plumber or not, it's not going to make a difference. The water is cleaned up, the tank is completely empty because it DRAINED onto the FLOOR, but we have NO toilet to use and we need a new one."

"Okay well I'll talk to you later."

AAGGHH.

This wouldn't have happened had they replaced the toilet when they were SUPPOSED to nearly 11 months ago! Who knows how long it was busted up even before that!

Whatever. She finally got off the phone and came downstairs and said that her husband was going to buy a toilet on his way home from work and they would fix it tonight. She also said she would leave the laundry room door open so we could use their bathroom if we have to until we get our toilet fixed.

Too bad for them I already popped a squat outside.

Aside from toilet problems, I did very well on my test and on my shop project. I finished my shop project yesterday after our blueprint reading test and I didn't even use a square. I just threw it together and was like 'oh that pretty much lines up' and 'ohh that looks about square.' .... hahaha I got 93% on it, only one person did better than me with 94% ... not bad for just throwing crap together! I also thought I would have done quite poorly on my print reading test, I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it. I figured I did well on the first couple pages but the last drawing was kind of weird and I figured I made a few mistakes, but again, I got 96% on it. I only got 3 questions wrong. Not too bad.

Sigh. Gong. Show.

Oh and to make matters worse... someones stupid effing alarm keeps going off like 5 times a day. ADKLJFAJWINAOIJA;ERKJ

Closet Country Fan

I am going to church in the morning and I'm still awake. It's going to be like death having to wake up in the morning I am sure.

My sleep schedule is trying to creep back into nocturnalism, but as long as I force myself to get up at a decent time it won't be too bad!

Today Dario and I booked our reception hall so the day is officially set!

We will be getting married on May 22nd, 2010. And yes, it is the long weekend! (Bet you never thought Dario would go for that right?? He actually was the one who suggested it!)

Dario wasn't able to come with me to the hall since work was a bit of an interference. His mom figured he didn't really need to be there anyways so her and I went, and he went to work instead. Afterwards, her and I went to the scrapbook warehouse because they had a major sale on cardstock. We were hoping we could snag some for invitations or something but they had already sold out. Apparently they were really ugly colours anyways. But the time wasn't a complete waste as we found a really cute idea for a wedding invitation while we were there. It was something VERY simple but still so cute!

My mom keeps telling me not to get too far ahead of myself so I still have some planning to do before the wedding, but I think she keeps forgetting that from November until April I am in school on weekends and working Monday through Friday, so I will not have time to do these sorts of things then. Obviously I will leave some details till later but I would like to get any of the "must do's" done sooner than later.

Tonight I came home and watched a documentary on the Dixie Chicks. Yeah I know, you are all probably laughing, but I will admit that I love the Dixie Chicks and yes, I can be a major country slunt sometimes. The documentary was actually very crazy to watch. The last album the Dixie Chicks released in 2006 was called "Taking the Long Way" and it was a major controversial album.

During a tour of the album previous to this one they had stated on tour "We are ashamed to say that the President of the United States is from Texas." and shit basically hit the fan. It got to the point where the lead singer had a death threat sent to her saying that she would be shot at a Nashville concert on such and such day so they had to do major security. People had to go through metal detectors and everything else and they wouldn't allow the Dixie Chicks to even set foot in the concert until 15 minutes before they were supposed to go on stage. It was absolutely insane. They figured they caught the guy who had sent the threat since things were very similar with other threats he'd made, but since there were so many people with a hate on for the Dixie Chicks they couldn't take any risks. I just found it crazy that a country band saying one simple phrase could have such a huge reaction from the rest of the states. After awhile though when people started realizing Bush was a total fuck up things obviously started to let loose, however the band wasn't quite done with the whole ordeal. How could you be either? They were told 'you'd better shutup and sing' by the president and their music was banned from many radio stations because of the controversy it was causing. I donno it was just crazy to see how ridiculously out of hand everything got from one simple statement.

Obviously the song "Not Ready To Make Nice" was written in retaliation to everything when they were almost being forced from touring in fear that their concerts would no longer sell out. When their producer had suggested to perhaps sing a song about the situations they were facing and perhaps saying that they forgave everyone for what they've done, the singer was pissed and was like 'nah fuck you guys' and decided to write that song.

Sick of a country music educational lesson yet? haha. Clearly I had too much time on my hands tonight. Either way I just found the entire thing very interesting to watch. This is my favourite song from the album that they released in 2006.

Lamo blog I know but whatever. Deal! haha

Your wedding will be huge.. just like your ass at prom.

I didn't go to school today.

I should have, but I didn't. I had cramps last night and again this morning and I've been doing quite well up until being back in the shop. Which is not good news. So this morning I laid in bed and decided I would stay home and rest and hopefully I can finish my project on Monday after our test. I don't have much left, maybe an hour. The hardest part is done. All I have to do now is mark where my two pipes go and stick em on there. So yes, an hour probably max.

I laid in bed all morning so I wouldn't feel so gross tonight, and then got up and ate some left over scalloped potatoes and pork medallions. Dinner turned out to be quite good but next time I will have a veggie, it did lack in the healthy department... and Dario hates hefty dinners. I'm a major meat and potato kinda girl where as Dario usually has meat, bread and some sort of salad or veggie. I always think that my salads lack in comparison to his moms. Maybe it's just cause anything tastes better when someone else makes it for you!

This afternoon I spent some time going through the wedding planner book Danielle and her mom got for me. Well for "Dario and I" but really, it's pink so he says he won't even look in it! haha. I've become obsessed with bridesmaids dresses as there are SO many cute ones out there and the colours are going to be amazing. At least what I am visioning is looking amazing! I have three very beautiful girls that will all look great.

My mom suggested that we should do either 3 different dresses in the same colour family, 3 different dresses all together using the wedding colours, or 3 dresses in 3 different colours.

I like the idea of three different dresses all together because then each girl can pick a dress that suits their body type. When you start using the same colours it makes it difficult cause Alicia looks great in light colours cause she has darker skin, but Danielle needs a darker/brighter colour because she's very pale. Both of them have dark hair, where as my other bridesmaid -Megan- is blonde and has a really nice tanned colour of skin. Not to mention every one of them has a completely different body shape from eachother so I think this way could be really fun for everyone!

Tomorrow Dario, myself, and Dario's mama are going to be booking the reception hall. Once that is done I will reveal the wedding date since until then it isn't set in stone. :)

Last night Dario and I went through our guest list and managed to knock it down to 257 invited. My dad still believes I should invite my cousin Joanne but I will have to talk to my grandma about that and see what she thinks. I know she might be offended, but we can't take the chance that all 261 guests would show up if they were invited. I know it's only 4 extra, but that's 4 extra's that COULD potentially be there which we won't be able to accomodate into the hall we want. So we'll see.

It's all so exciting!

Time for A Change Like The Rest Of The Blogger World

All you people changing your blogs has made me want to revamp mine too.

Since I know nothing about computers I just pick a layout from good old blogger.

I don't think they had this one when I started this blog. Otherwise I'm sure I would have picked it then since blue is my favourite colour. (If you couldn't tell already...)

Again, it is late, and I am wasting time on the computer.

I feel like poo tonight, but Dario and I finally got our list of invited guests down to 257 people. My dad still thinks I should invite my cousin Joanne since he thinks she would probably come, but the hall just can't fit 260 guests with round tables, so we're taking a pretty big risk even inviting this many people. Who knows, we'll get it all organized soon!

I should probably go to bed now and stop screwing around with blogger. I don't know what to do with my header, this ones kind of retarded to have a header with and I don't know what I'm doing at all.

Dirty Nails = sad

Today has been a really annoying day.

I felt like crap this morning, not only was I tired but I had cramps again so I decided I would show up for class 2 and a half hours late. No big deal, my teacher doesn't seem to give a shit about anything. I found him when I got there and was like "Hey Moe I just wanted to check in and let you know I was here" (since I knew if I didn't tell him, he wouldn't notice cause he doesn't come down to the shop while we're in there...) and he's like 'oh yeah that's fine, I'm leaving at 11 I have an appointment at 1. Clean up at 1:15 and go home at 1:30. I'll see you tomorrow."

OOOOkay. I ended up leaving at quarter to 1 because I got irritated with our project. It's really frustrating. You're taking a flat piece of plate, and putting small bends in it in 12 different spots so it makes half of a cone. You do this with two plates, and then join them together to make a cone. When you're doing this you cut out what we call a sweep (a semi circle cut out of cardboard with the same diameter as the inside of the cone) so that when you're bending your cone you can use your sweep to check to see if you're getting the proper diameter of the steel you are bending.

My diameter was perfect. 15 inch outside diameter. Just like the drawing. I rolled a piece of flat bar into a 15 inch outside diameter circle. You are supposed to weld that circlular piece of steel onto the bottom of your cone. It should line up perfectly because both have the EXACT SAME diameter... but no. It didn't. Because some spots are a little flatter than others etc etc and you can't ever make a perfect circle it seems, you get a slight oval shape typically. Everyone had the same problem at least and I know one guys was way off and everything else still turned out alright.

I gave up today though needless to say. I put my cone together, tacked on the box that is on the side of the cone, realized I took my measurements from the wrong line and decided FUCK IT I'll do it tomorrow. I'm not taking my box off and redoing it. I don't have time for that shit. My box isn't even the proper dimensions, but again, I'm not redoing it. My reasoning? : my teacher won't fucking notice it anyways. Not only that but the method we used to get our dimensions for our plate templates is a very inaccurate way. You're supposed to use trigenometry to figure out the proper measurements for everything, but they don't teach you how to apply trig to stuff like this until 3rd year. So we just make things out of semi-circles and lines. Not even kidding.

As long as it looks like the drawing, he'll pass you on it. So whaaaaatever. Tomorrow I'll fit my two pipes onto the side of the cone and call er a day. We have a test on monday too on Print Reading which is gonna be ball-licking fun.

Aside from that I got 94% on the math test we had on Monday. Not bad at all. So I'm sitting at about 92/93% right now. Not that it's hard to get a mark like that in this guys class since he doesn't really mark anything. I don't even know whether or not to be proud about it, because really, he gives everyone high marks. He doesn't actually mark you according to your work, he just looks at it and says "looks like 90%" ... Kind of annoying but whatever.

I just talked to my boss and told him about my doctors appointment on Monday. I wanted to let him know what was going on since obviously my health interferes with work so I told him what the plan was for everything. He asked how long I had left in school and I said I'd be done Feb. 7th and he was like 'well don't rush it, it's just Les and myself in the shop right now.'

There is NO work. He said he's never seen it this bad before. Pretty crazy I guess. So yeah, he told me to call him during my last week of school and he'd let me know if they need me around or if it's still slow. I told him it wasn't a big deal and if it's slow and they're worried about having someone come back just to lay them off again that I'd go and find a different job in the mean time until things pick up again since EI has already been fucking me around.

It's crazy to think about though. The construction/trades industry right now is extreeemely slow. It's bad for every single company out there right now and thousands of businesses are starting to suffer or are worried about losing money so they're all withdrawing from their contracts and quitting jobs mid progress! You know it's bad when people stop a job in the middle of the construction of it.

Oh well I guess, what can you do! I'll be keeping my eyes open for new opportunities and thank God for hair school in November.

On a bright side... I saw tulips while I was at safeway today and they made me so excited for the wedding next year! They were just the mini tulips but even those could be really cute to use for centerpieces or something. So many options!

I am making dinner for Dario and I tonight. I decided on turning some pork tenderloin I picked up at costco into pork medallions with madeira... but I'm just going to substitute for whatever wine we have in the fridge. I'm also going to make some scalloped potatoes to go with it. And just for Dario I'm going to have ciabatta buns to go with it. I feel like it's lacking a veggie but it already seems like enough food so I don't know if I need to go ahead with a salad or carrots or anything. We'll see I guess.

Hopefully it's tasty!

Oh and last night at costco I ran into someone I used to work with in Fort it was crazy. She came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder and when I first turned around I didn't even know who it was, it took a second to register. I still find it very odd seeing anyone I know here since I never expect to know anyone anywhere I go. It was nice to see her though! It's been a couple years already so I just hunted her down on facebook. Turns out she doesn't live too far from me and is going to SFU for ergonomics.

Any job suggestions? I was tempted to try retail but then you have to wear the clothes and I don't have the money to spend on that shit so it won't be that. Maybe I'll try for an office job or a hair salon receptionist. Hmm.

I teabagged your drumset

I'm going to be dead tired in the morning. UGH.

I fell asleep after school today but only for about half an hour, but now I'm wide awake.

Tonight Krystal, Mark, and I went on a costco mission. 438 dollars later we walked out of there. Yes that's right, 438 dollars. But that's for all three of us, and we all bought a shitload of meat. I picked up some ground beef of course, as well as some pork tenderloin mmm. Cheese also was high on my list as I'm a sucker for cheese. And then I don't know, it's costco, it's so easy to have everything add up. I needed cotton pads for washing my face but they only had them in like bulk packs of 10 packages or some crap. So I figured, fuck it I'll get them anyways it's only 10 bucks and normally they're 3 bucks a pack everywhere else. Not like they're gonna go to waste. But that 10 bucks here and 10 bucks there and 'oh for 50 of those it's only 15 bucks, lets get it!' ends up turning into a rather large bill. You always think you got so much too, but then you get home and put it all away and it doesn't seem like you have THAT much. Or at least that's the case with me. My cupboards are still kind of bare, but the fridge and freezer is stuffed full of meaty/cheesy goodness. Mmmm.

After that we returned to our house and watched stepbrothers. I had a mad craving for icecream that didn't get fixed while we were at costco because they shut down the icecream machine to clean it (bastards) so Mark and I drove to dairy queen to get an icecream cone. Mid movie too.

Tomorrow night I'm going to make dinner for Dario then we'll sit down and figure out a final list of guests that we're inviting to the wedding. The ball is rollin' people. Let the madness begin!

Today we worked in the shop and started our shop projects. We are making something similar to this but obviously not that big. And ours has a bunch of shit coming off of it. Other pipes etc welded to the sides. Perhaps I'll take a picture when I'm done if it turns out. Everything so far has gone quite smoothly with the building process. It's been awhile since I've actually done any shop work (almost 3 months now) and I was really tired by the end of the day. Exhausted tired, even though we're working with thin material. It wasn't so bad when I was there it was just when I got home. I guess it's just the being on your feet on a cement floor thing all day. Who knows.

I should go try to sleep.

Yeah I'll take the Copper T 380A for 12 years please.

The day is over. It's getting late and I shouldn't be blogging but I don't really feel like doing my homework. I'm sure we'll be working on the same crap tomorrow. I did half a page and said "fuck it" and decided to just watch TV instead. I missed my friggen hair show, AGAIN. Not impressed.

I had my specialist appointment this afternoon and it went rather well. I am clearly becoming well adjusted to hearing somewhat bad news, either that or I've just prepared myself well enough to hear it that really I'm not all that upset. I think I'm just happy that I finally have some fucking options and know that I'm finally getting somewhere with it all.

The doctor sat down with me and asked me a million questions in regards to my family's medical history's (menstrual problems and any other health problems) and all of my symptoms etc.

I go for more blood work (when I make some more to get rid of again) to be tested for Von Willebrands Disease. It's some sort of clotting disorder that can cause easy bruising, nosebleeds, and heavy periods. I don't have nose bleeds but she thinks I could have two different disorders with my lady parts.

She came to the conclusion that I most likely have endometriosis. The only way of knowing for sure will be to have surgery. So I have to think about that option over the next little while. She did suggest that since I'm already off work that I do it sooner than later, but I just don't know yet. In the mean time I get to go on birth control attempt number 5. This one however is different. It's called "seasonale" and the difference is you take it for 3 months straight and then go off it for a week. So you get a period 4 times a year. If say, in the 3 months that I'm not getting a period, I don't experience a lot of spotting or keep getting periods while I'm taking it, then I will continue to take it for months on end and won't stop taking it until I feel like it basically. So I may not have a period for a year if I want, maybe 2, who knows... (Not such a bad thing in any girls world really. Or any mans for that matter I'm sure! hah. Eh Chad? No more fighting with "the yute.")

But yeah, so I try this for now. If it makes me feel better by 100% then I will continue this method of treatment. If in 3 months I am still experiencing pain then I will go in for surgery. My doctor wants me to consider that option just to know for sure whats going on inside me, and if they find endo lesions then they'll burn em off with a laser while they're in there.... but her philosophy is "if you find something that's making you feel better, then do you really need to have surgery just to know for sure??" Which makes sense.

I was given quite a few other options to look at also. One is an anti-inflammatory but first I gotta make sure it wasn't those that I was allergic to. Bad thing about this one, is you get to shove it up your ass. So I'm definitely not too intruiged by shoving anything up my ass. I guess if it helps, then whatever, but I just feel like that would be just as unpleasant as the cramps themselves.

Also theres an IUD (intrauterine device). Hahaha it's called the copper T 380A ... HAH. It's seriously a piece of copper tubing in the shape of a T that holds progesterone in it. You stick it up your hoo hoo (the doctors do of course, not you) and it's apparently really painful to put in but works like a frickin charm. It serves the same purpose as birth control, only costs about 60 bucks, and that good old copper T 380A can last for up to 12 years. Gross if you ask me but, whatever floats your boat. I was told it would be a "good option for me" but since I've never had kids or been pregnant than I guess it makes the procedure that much more painful.

Also if worse comes to worse I have two other options. Both = the shits entirely. One is a shot you take once a month, and it disconnects your brain from sending signals to your uterus, and vice versa. AKA your body thinks it's going through menopause. You go through "menopause" for 6 months or so (or until the symptoms start going away) and then you stop taking the shot and go back to normal. Now... correct me if I'm wrong but who the fuck wants to ever go through menopause in the first place? Let alone willingly!! This shot gives you the hot flashes, the cold sweats, the bitchiness, all that great glorious shit that comes along with menopause, so who would ever want to do that?! God. Aside from that I just don't feel comfortable putting my body through something like that when I still want to have kids one day.

Next up is danazol. A MALE hormone... somehow you take that and it makes you hairier and it deepens your voice so you basically start turning into a man. Somehow in amidst of you damn near growing a penis, it makes your periods better. I would assume because your body no longer thinks its a frickin woman. Thanks but I don't think I wanna be growing chest hair anytime soon.

Sigh. So those were a few of the options that she mentioned that I can remember. I don't quite know what to think right now. I'm stressed, but not really? I'm relieved if anything that at least I'm on a path where there's more options and it's being looked at more extensively. But at the same time, it's a little scary.

Aside from all that.... I just watched paranormal state for about 2 hours straight, and I'm the biggest wuss when it comes to scary movies/tv shows... and for some reason I'm hooked on this scary show about poltergiests and all that other scary shit... So I watched my show and I'm a little on edge now, and all of a sudden someone knocked on the door and Krystal is in bed. So I def. was not expecting anyone to be showing up. I was starting to think maybe it'd be some crazy serial killer who was gonna barge in and stab me to death.

Yes I'm THAT ridiculous after watching anything scary.

Turned out to be a friend of Krystals bringing her chicken noodle soup and some bread cause she's got a crazy ear infection thats throwing her balance all outta whack haha. She keeps walking into walls, it's kind of funny to watch. Poor girl.

And on a last note... my fish is going to die soon. He keeps swimming like a mad man into the rocks and side of the glass and goes nuts for awhile, then just stops moving all together, and he won't eat. I almost think he's gone blind or something though because even when I put krystals fish next to him he doesn't get all pissed off like he used to. Oh well I guess!

Always hungry it seems

I came home early from school today.

Yesterday I went to donate blood and it didn't go as well as last time. I don't know what happened it was the weirdest thing.

Last time I went, I had a slight hangover, I had only eaten an orange and a half since the night before, and my pulse was 100 beats per minute. Not the best blood-donating position you would think. But my iron levels were fine, and I was fine with it. They made me eat a couple cookies and have a glass of juice before I donated since they were worried as a first time donor that I would faint... but I did fine. Later on that night I did get a sudden hot flash and felt a little queezy, but I was fine after just sitting outside for a couple of minutes and then eating to get some sugar in me.

This time? Different story. UGH. I ate around 10am... I had a sandwich and some orange juice. I took a couple vitamins and then I went to my appointment at 12:25.

First you get your finger pricked and they squeeze the blood out and suction it up into a mini turkey baster basically... and then drop it into some sort of solution. If your blood sinks, your iron levels are good, if it floats back up, not so good.

Mine floated back up. So they had to do the secondary test. They take your blood and put it in a machine and if you're over 12.5 you can donate. I was 13.3. So not really that much higher.

So I go into the room where the woman asks me a million random questions of whether or not I've been paid for sex or have ever paid anyone else for sex... or if I've come into contact with any monkeys... or if I've had sex with a man who's had sex with another man since 1977. Just the usual questions. She takes my temperature, blood pressure and pulse... my heart rates only 83 this time (I have a naturally high heart rate and then combine it with a little anxiety) and my BP and temp. are fine. I finish that, go line up to donate. Finally they call me up.

I'm doing great, I have great veins so it doesn't take me too long. Half way through the blood shaker loses power, so now the nurse has to manually shake my bag of blood so it doesn't clot. This time I watched and it didn't bother me in the slightest. My bag is almost full (but you can't completely tell because the shaker wasn't working to weigh it or whatever) and all of a sudden I get this major hot flash. So I am fanning myself and the nurse is like "Do you feel hot?" and I'm like "uhh yeah quite..." so she's like "we have to take the needle out then, you can't keep donating today" so I was like alright whatever.

She takes it out, and I'm holding my little cotton ball down to stop the bleeding, and I start feeling really really nauseous. Like instantly gonna puke kind of nauseous. So they turn me on my side and they've got me covered up in wet cold cloths etc. I figured I would be fine. They grab a barf bag like the planes have, and hold it in front of my mouth. So I sat there for like a minute trying to fight back the puke because I didn't wanna puke in front of a room full of people that are losing a pint of blood, probably not a good combo. But yeah, I couldn't hold it back any longer. So I puked. Then the nurse is getting mad at me because I wasn't putting pressure on the needle site (like I gave a shit about bleeding out a tiny hole at that point when I was busy throwing up??) and then after about another minute I puked again. Then I was fine.

It was so weird!

The nausea had gone away as quick as it came on... and even the hot flashes stopped within a minute after I puked. It was sooo lame.

Luckily I had filled up the bag just enough to meet the requirements but then they made me sit there for like an hour drinking juice and eating cookies till I felt better. Which I felt better instantly. Gay.

Apparently if you have low blood sugar levels that day or your blood volume isn't the greatest (a little dehydration) then it makes you puke. So I'll remember that for next time.

That all leads me to today. I still feel kinda gross today. I'm just tired. I definitely didn't get enough sleep last night, and I have my specialist appointment today so I decided I would go into school, take my math test, get the assignment and go home.

We got our tests back from Friday and I got 93% on that. But get this... the 2nd question I did everything PERFECT. PERFECT okay. Nothing wrong at all. He gives me 9.5... I'm like whatever I must have fucked up somewhere, didn't think anything of it. Then a kid goes up with the same thing and he's like 'Hey moe? Why did I get 9.5 if there's nothing wrong? What did I screw up on?" and Moe is like "Oh you did everything right, but you are apprentice. I don't give apprentive 100%" ..... soooooo you can do everything 100% correct, but he'll still only give you like 93 tops. It's weird. Whatever though he also doesn't fail you on fuck all. So I guess it evens out.

Now I'm at home, relaxing. I'm going to eat and have a nap. Then get up and get ready to go to my appointment in the afternoon. I have no idea where the building is so I'll have to go early to find where the hell I'm going!

So that was my weekend. Sorta anyhow. Time to go eat now I'm starving.

Midols kickin my ass

First things first: Facebook status' ...

Amber Ouellette says marriage can suck on deeez nuts.

Marlee thinks? : go fuck yourself.

Anyways, now that that's out of the way! My mom just called to tell me about some crazy connection/coincidence thing. My mom has this friend named Wendy. Wendy's mother, (May) grew up in Burnaby. She was BEST friends for 62 years, with a girl who lived directly diagonally across the street from Dario. And somehow it all ends up connecting with Dario's friend Shea from highschool. Apparently Shea is the 3rd cousin of this person that Wendy's mom knows, and also all these people know Dario's family. SO RANDOM. I donno. My mom was apparently looking on google maps and somehow was looking up Dario's house? I don't know. I didn't even think she knew what street he lived on but I must have mentioned it at some point in a conversation and she remembered, cause yah, just totally weird.

Tomorrow is salami making day. I will be going over to the house to help make lunch and dinner for all the men. I'm looking forward to it, it's always nice getting together with big groups.

Tonight was Pats opening for his picture presentation from Dhaka. I would like to go on Tuesday since every day has been/will be busy until then. Maybe I'll steal some of the pictures on my way out and hope he doesn't notice... just maybe I can get away with it!

Sunday I am donating blood again, and no it won't take up the whole day, but when I first donated we happened to have a dinner to go to that night and at one point I got this crazy hot flash and felt like I was going to pass out, so I had to go sit outside for a bit... so in order to avoid that situation, I'm going to just go home and eat and relax since it's quite a bit of blood to lose!

Monday I FINALLY have my much needed specialist appointment. Things have gotten a lot better since I've been off work, but I still have a lot of pain at random times when really, I shouldn't at all. So hopefully that will be good.

Then like I said, Tuesday I would like to go to Pats photo presentation.

I think Wednesday is empty and thursday is too. Friday is dinner with the bridal party which I can finally pick out a place to go now that I know what Mauro's status is.

And I still have to mail in my JCI stuff. I was going to go to the office tonight but Dario said he has to go there tomorrow anyways so we'll just go then and photocopy what I need to mail then send it off. And that's it.

Danielle and I have picked some colours for the wedding and finally got some great ideas which will help a lot! Still have a long ways to go but it's a very good start.

I started this a billion hours ago and now I need to go to bed. I'm sleepy.

Busy Bee? I don't think so.

It has been a very crazy weekend so far and I don't even know where to begin so I don't even know if I'll attempt right now. I definitely don't have the time or energy today for a full blown post with major details!

Friday night we went to Alicia's house for a small get-together/house warming party. The original big bash was canceled since her roommate had a very unexpected cornea transplant. So since he wasn't feeling well it had to be toned down. It was nice though. I was so tired that night, I can't even remember why but I had a hard time staying awake. I had been at school doing crazy amounts of math all day which always makes my brain sleepy, and then went out to the shop to visit with the guys from work for awhile which also could explain the tiredness... A few beers oughtta do that to ya! But yeah, I wish I would have been more social, but I was seriously just ready for a nap!

Saturday was, well, crazy day. Dinner, Movie, engagement? What what? Yeah I'll tell you all about that at some point. Most of you know the story already so I won't bore you again. But that was a pretty exciting thing. I couldn't get ahold of my mom until Sunday night, so unfortunately practically everyone knew before her, but nothing I can do about that since she was out of town. It was definitely a little strange though knowing that everyone else I know, knew before my own mom. But again, whatever, what can ya do.

Sunday was a day of pasta, wine, and crazy witches handing out presents. This is my 2nd time helping out at the befana and let me tell you, there is always a certain someone who drives me a little crazy because she doesn't know how to shutup and leave you be to do your thing, but whatever, that's a whole diff. story. Danielle def. knows who I'm talking about.

Monday was learn how to make gnocchi day. So after school I headed over to Dario's house where his mom was to teach me how to make some good eats. Which turned out to be a nice visit between her and I. After that Dario and I sat down with his parents and discussed a bit of wedding talk, and what they figure would be the best thing for us in terms of when to have the wedding. Of course it would be very exciting to get married this year, but it is a costly process so we really have to sit down and discuss some expenses and figure out when a realistic time for us to have the wedding is. Once we get doing some number crunching we can maybe pick out a venue and book a date. So it'll probably be a few weeks yet before all that is in place.

Today, today is I don't know what day yet. I'm waiting to hear back from Dario. We were going to get together with our future wedding party and watch the hockey game and just sort of officially invite them to be a part of our day whenever it happens, but we may have to reschedule since Dario's brother cannot make it tonight. So we'll see, either way I could really go for some food right about now. I've been so hungry all day for some reason.

I had such a hard time getting out of bed this morning and I was late for class, but I refused to let myself pay for parking today since I have 3 times now (its 3.50 each friggen day) and I don't need to spend that cash, so I decided I would be late for class and I would walk. I only ended up being 5 minutes late and I probably would have been that even if I drove just because I'd have to go stand in line to pay for parking then walk back into the building, not to mention park way the fuck away from the building I need to be in. So it made me realize how sensible this walking business actually is.

We had a test today, I think I did good on it. I was up late studying but also watching tv while I was at it... so not the best study method but it was a multiple choice test on a few basic things, all stuff from first year so whatever. Who cares. I really don't.

I FINALLY got ahold of the EI office too. Seriously, it's brutal trying to get ahold of them. Their caller volume is so high, that you don't even get put on hold until the next available operator can help you, oh no, their message just hangs up on you. Then finally I got lucky and got put in "sequence" as they call it, and spent literally 27 minutes and 8 seconds talking to those sons of bitches, and holding. And holding some more. Apparently I have to have two different claims because my last claim was for a work shortage so now they'll pay me money from the work shortage claim, and then now I am started on a new different apprenticeship claim. Apparently the questions are different, I donno WHATEVER. Just glad it's finally all sorted out so I can start getting paid again!

So all that is left to do now is cancel my gym membership, or start friggen using it. One of the two, I think cancel it cause theres a gym at BCIT I can use for free if I ever get off my ass, aaand I'm paying like 42 bucks a month for this gym and I haven't gone in who knows how many months.

After that, I just gotta mail out the rest of my john casablancas stuff and VOILA. Done.

Surprisingly, even though there's a lot happening, and then factoring in getting married, it doesn't seem like it's going to be too much busier than usual. I think the planning for it is going to go quite smoothly. By the looks of things we'll have a lot of time to plan stuff so I don't have to worry about time management so much. Which will make it very easy for us to work with. As much as I would love to get married this year, and for how disappointing it was knowing we might not, I am (surprisingly) starting to realize the benefits that will come to us through being patient and paying for things before the wedding so there's no after-wedding-debt lingering around.

I think I'm going to go make myself a sandwich.

Excuse the knuckle hair

So uh, I'm getting married.

Honestly... still can't quite believe it!

I are excited!

Today I...

...paid my registration for hair school. I start November 2nd of this year.

...met a little old lady named Susan. She was having trouble walking in the snow, so I held onto her hand and helped her get to where she needed to go. (About a 20 minute walk in the opposite direction I was going.) ... She was really sweet. She told me she felt like she was sent an angel, haha. Old people are so dramatic sometimes, but it was cute.

...will be going to Denis and Rachel's for dinner. We're having steak and baked potatoes with a salad. Yummy!

...had conversations with most of the people in the classroom. There are still a select few that seem to enjoy being on their own away from the rest of us. Majority of us get along well though. Those select few are either really shy, or hate the rest of us. Either way, it's very different from my first year class.

...accidently mimicked something my teacher said, with an east indian accent. He is an east indian. I did not mean it in an offensive way, and hopefully he didn't take offense.

...walked to school in the rain, and back home again. I am extremely out of shape.

...hardly had any sleep. Krystal came home last night from Europe at 2:30 in the morning and was pretty noisy. I was up until 4, I had about 3 and a half hours of sleep total. I could really use a nap, but I don't have time.

...will begin saving as much as possible to pay for my tuition.

After Alicia's party on Friday, I won't be going out to any pubs etc for quite some time. I may not be going back to work after I'm done school in February because the shop is so dead right now. I have to keep updating with my boss but so far he says he may not need me back just yet. So in order to pay for school, I'll have to suck it up and have a very minute allowance of fun money. AKA enough to bring some alcohol and food to a house gathering. It won't be the funnest thing in the world, but I will not put any money on my visa that's not a phonebill, gas bill, or grocery bill (things I will pay off with my paycheques) so yeah... It should be an interesting, yet a little low key, 2009!

If you wouldn't stick your dick in it, don't stick your finger in it

I'm sleepy. I'm back in school and not used to getting up this early anymore. I walked from Dario's place to BCIT... in the pouring rain, and then walked back to his house after school. Again, in the pouring rain. Not the nicest thing, but it saves me 3.50 a day in parking which well, lets face it, is completely un-necessary to pay. Not to mention, my feet get less wet walking to BCIT than they do when I park in their disgusting-unshovelled-slush filled parking lot.

I'm making chili tonight, a huge pot so I can freeze some for lunches. I realized after I started it that I didn't have any chili powder, or even taco seasoning. So I tried paprika, cayenne, and seasoning salt. Whatever, close enough.

Tomorrow night is dinner at Denis and Rachel's which I'm looking forward to. We try to get together with them for dinner every now and again to catch up as the four of us. It's always fun and entertaining!

Not too much is new. There's now 16 people in our class, I guess two or three didn't care to show up yesterday. Our teacher is really awesome, he's this old east-indian guy that doesn't give a shit about anything. He explains things if you need him to, but so far just hands out worksheets and says "do them" and gives us more than enough time to finish them. Or so you would think. I'm usually done an hour before everyone else, which makes class extremely boring. It's all math right now, and it's just review of first year steel fab... so it's ridiculously easy, but good practice.

Oh, my friend Megan asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, which I am extremely excited about! The only crazy thing is I will also be doing Megan's hair, and possibly the other bridesmaid for the wedding. Should make for a very busy morning haha. Either way it's going to be SO much fun! I've hardly ever been to many weddings let alone been asked to be in one, so I can't wait!

I started this post on the 5th... it's now the 6th, I didn't know what to write about. I still don't, so I'm going to go watch some tv.

I bought everything I needed to make thai cashew chicken sometime this week. Or maybe early next week. I'm looking forward to it.

13 days till I go to the doctors again. Yayyyy :)

TV time.

Oh Hair, how I love Hair.

99 posts already. Hm. I wonder how many of them mention hair?

Here's my new do.

It's alright I suppose. Gets kinda gay after the humidity starts to get to it, but that's an every day annoyance when you live in Vancouver.

I kinda miss that about Fort, I notice that every time I straighten my hair there, it actually stays straight. No fuckin around. Just straight.

Hm. If only there were a way to change the weather.

Oh how food will be the death of me.

Sigh. I just did my first grocery shop of the year. Since I have been eating like complete shit in the last few weeks, I figured I'd bust out with a major veggie/healthy food shopping spree. I found this recipe before I left for a low-fat/low-calorie chicken veggie stew and it actually sounds really good. So I picked up the stuff for that. But while I was shopping I thought a lot about this show I was watching yesterday. And let me tell you, I have never seen anything like it.

It was on Womens network or whatever, channel 19 for you members of shaw... and it was a british dieting competition show thing. It was called... get this... "three fat women, one thin dress."

Basically, they have three really fat broads who are getting married, and they each get to pick a skinny dress of their dreams. They are then under the complete control/watch of this crazy british bitch who comes into their houses and talks about all the crap their eating and takes them for major health lessons. At the end of the show the girl who is most committed to this new way of life, wins the dress of her dreams.

I found this interesting, because most weight loss shows will tell you of the harm you're doing to your body and tell you how you're going to have a heart attack blah blah blah, but honestly, is there anyone out there that is REALLY that terrified of that shit? No, because we still all eat like shit, we still eat crap out of packages because it tastes amazing, and we're told so often of the effects that nobody really takes it that seriously.

So for these three women, she took them to a hospital and such places and showed them actual body parts of people who ate precisely like them. It was pretty gross. What they did in turn, was shove those body parts into empty chip bags etc so that when the girls opened them, they could see exactly what foods were effecting what etc etc. It was pretty gross.

Then to add onto all of this, and this just about made me puke... she had them each go into an outhouse, and take a dump into a little porta-bowl...

Fucking. Sick.

She actually sat there and analyzed their poos, and told them what a healthy fiber-full diet poo should be like and smell like!! It was so disgusting, but it only further more rubbed it in their faces of their equally disgusting diet. (One chick deep fried EVERYTHING, no jokes, everything she ate was deepfried.)

She even gave them healthy alternatives to the things they loved. Like chocolate for instance. She combined a banana, some skim milk, and some cocoa powder and blended it to make a shake. Gross you say, but at the same time, it's much much healthier, it's not packed full of sugar or fat, and cocoa powder is actually an excellent source of antioxidants which are also really good for your skin! It was just all really interesting actually.

By the end of the show, it wasn't like each woman had lost a tremendous amount of weight or anything, they were just following a healthier life style and getting a little more exercise in (nothing major just a little bit extra cardio) and just with that change, they began to drop weight naturally. Each of them lost about 15-20 lbs in the 8 weeks. So again, it's not a major crash diet where your body goes into starvation mode, it's just a healthier way of life.

So I donno, while I was out grocery shopping today, all I could think about was those disgusting poos, and how I don't want my poo to look like that, and about their disgusting bellies, AND the disgusting body parts and shit that they showed them. It led to me buying absolutely no junkfood or anything even close to junkfood, and decided to get back on the track I was on before I stopped working. I've been so lazy lately that I just don't feel like cooking since I don't take the leftovers for lunch the next day they just end up sitting in my fridge and rotting.

I really should take better care of myself since heart disease is a major problem in my family. My grandma on my dads side has had 3 angioplast surgeries, and a quadruple bypass. They wanted to do a quintuple but decided it was too risky. In total she has 10 arteries that are permanently damaged/clogged. 4 were 100% and the rest were between 40-90% clogged. She's only in her early 70's and her health is the absolute shits. As for my grandpa on my moms side, he had a double bypass and he seems to be doing well, but his health still isn't the greatest.

The way you put on weight is a problem, if you carry it in your stomach area, you're more at risk for heart disease... where as if you're pear shaped you're still at risk, just not as bad since the fat isn't collecting around your organs.

So I have two major things against me... I'm a belly-fat collector, and heart disease runs in my family... so I guess I should take things a little more seriously before it ends up being too late one day. I don't really wanna die when I'm only 70, that's still quite young.

Now onto getting dinner started, I'm frickin starving!!

2009 bitchessss

Happy New Year Everyone!!

Well, it's the first post of 2009 and I am a little curious to see what this year has in store for me. Like I said before, not really making any goals because I pretty much think it's pointless to base things on the assumption that everything will go according to plan. It never does as I've found.

2008 has been a rather interesting year. I don't think a lot has happened, but there were some great accomplishments made this year, (due to the help of Dario) and there were some minor/major inconveniences that definitely changed the course of some plans.

I went back to school for the first time since I graduated highschool in May of 2008. I spent 5 weeks at BCIT working towards my first year steel fab. I passed with an excellent mark, and immediately returned to work.

In August Dario's sister was married and we enjoyed a fabulous wedding. Soon after that, the Ciavarro's were wed and again, we enjoyed another awesome and very entertaining wedding.

Sometime before hunting season, Dario and I went and got our hunting/gun courses in order and decided upon a hunting trip with my family for Thanksgiving. We spent a week and a half up there and it just didn't seem like nearly enough time. I left exhausted, upset, and very very homesick. I decided to spend Christmas with my family this year, and in doing so Dario and I spent our first Christmas apart. I was only there a week, but while I was there without him it definitely made me realize where home really is now. I love my family, I miss them dearly, but I belong in Vancouver.

Amidst all of that, my car was officially paid off. Yay, finally back on the right track!!

Everything was going quite well but after returning from our hunting trip in October I worked for a few more weeks before I decided to take a lay off from work. Since then I have been at home resting and trying to feel better and have come to many conclusions of what is going on in my body. Clearly work exhausts me physically and my body is unable to handle the labor. I have noticed that I have not felt nearly as horrible as I was when I was working. I still feel pretty damn shitty at times, but it is definitely bettered itself a little from not over-lifting/working etc. I will finally see a specialist in less than 3 weeks and answers will hopefully soon follow!!

In November I decided to tag along with Danielle to donate blood. I really enjoyed the experience and it felt great to know that I was going to help save someones life some day. I have decided to continue donating so long as my body lets me! So Thanks to Danielle!! :)

Aside from all of that, Dario's and my relationship has continued to grow and just keeps getting better. I couldn't ask for a more compassionate, loving person, or for anyone smellier! But I love him just the same and can't wait to see what the years to come will be like.

It's been a very rocky year. It's had a lot of ups, and some downs, but overall has been very generous to me. I've grown great relationships with the people around me, and became a pretty good version of me. Compared to the disaster I was in 2007.

2009 will be a year of getting the rest of my shit together and setting myself on a permanent life path. I will finally see a doctor who knows what they're doing and will hopefully find some answers to my health. I'm optimistic and am sure that regardless of the outcome, I will make do with whatever hand I am dealt.

I will be registering for my hairdressing course in a matter of a week or two and once I complete the course (probably not until 2010) I will make a change in my career path and start doing something I should have done a long time ago. I've never been more excited. Until that all happens, I will still be doing my steel fab as long as I can. I am back in school in a couple of days to finish my 2nd year steel fab.

It doesn't seem like much is going to be happening yet, but this will be the year my life takes the biggest change it ever has. It's pretty exciting, but a little nerve wracking as well! I hope it works out, it should definitely be an interesting year!
