I will...

I am making a goal list for the month of October. I have a lot of things I want to do this month and I've decided it's time to push myself into being a responsible adult. No more fucking around!

I will not drink in October except for Halloween or at my cousins wedding (if I even decide to for that.)
I will pay my parking tickets on October 15th as soon as I am home from work around 9pm.
I will reorganize my bedroom and get rid of shit that I don't need/use anymore.
I will eat a healthier diet (Not a strict calorie counting diet, just stop eating so much shit food.)
I will only eat out for lunch once a week. (See above.)
I will get up for work 2 hours earlier so that I can go for a jog every morning, no matter what the weather.
I will keep track of what I do in services every day so I can do my best to hit my $5000 goal.
I will keep track of all of my tips and will deposit them into my account daily.
I will book in for an extra day of work due to taking the 10th off for my cousins wedding.

I think that's it for now. Bedtime!

Dreaming Of New Places

I'm feeling the need to purge these days.

Not purge as in a mind-reading bulemic does, but purge as in get rid of everything I own in exchange for new shit. Including the house I live in.

I have decided that once I meet my goal of $5000 in services per month at the salon, I will make the decision to move. This is a bit crazy because my goal is to hit $5000 at the end of October. The reason I'm deciding to move after meeting that goal is because then I will get a raise. Until I get that raise I am in no position to move. So I've decided I will move 2-3 months after I meet my goal. There's reasons for this seeing as how I'll need a bit of time to save up etc and prepare for this. Also, because I'm going to Paris at the beginning of November that will put a bit of a hold on things as well. If I meet my goal next month then I think I will make my move out date January 31st because no one wants to move on New Years Day yughy.

So, I'm making some plans now to perhaps start collecting shit. I really need a new computer desk as I bought the cheapest, biggest, piece-of-shit desk on the planet when I moved into this place. Since I got rid of all of my stuff when I moved to Vancouver I ended up needing a few new things. I moved into a semi-furnished basement suite 2 and a half years ago and I've been here ever since. I barely remember the last time I had a couch that didn't smell like Grandma's house, or a mattress that wasn't a shitty Ikea mattress that could roll up and fit in the back of my car. (No jokes, I'm serious about all of this.)

I've bitched about this place numerous times. I hate that it's freezing in the winter, doesn't have a bathtub, and the power goes out everytime I use the microwave and forget to turn the heater off. I would love to have a place with a dishwasher, and maybe a bit of a view.

So what is it I want to do, what is it I want to have, and why?

Well, I have pretty much changed my life in all aspects but I feel its time to be more of an adult. I'm pretty over living in Burnaby. I'm over the commute mostly. Since I am planning on getting rid of my car, a change has to be made in location. This place is actually pretty convenient, but I really hate the walk home from the skytrain station. Even though it's less than a 10 minute walk away, it has got to be the sketchiest and most boring walk imagineable - right along side a creepy, dark highway with nothing but bushes and a creek on the other side of you. This isn't really a good time when you're walking this stretch at midnight or later at least once or twice a week.

I want to have some nice things again and a change in my surroundings. In turn this will take some sacrifice on my part, but I think during winter is the perfect time to do it. I'm already starting to hermit a little more (which is AMAZING by the way. I actually watched two movies last night and it was the best Saturday night alone ever!) which makes it the perfect time to stay in and save some extra cash. Then I can spend that extra cash on getting some new shit for a new place. I'm going to keep an eye on craigslist/furniture sales etc and when I find something I like/want then I will buy it. There are definitely a lot of sweet deals out there sometimes that I wouldn't ever think of.

In terms of location, I'll be somewhere downtown. I love the westend, but I'm also considering Yaletown, maybe even Gastown. Who knows. I'll keep my options open and if I find something I like in any of those areas then I'll take it.

The latest I will move out is at the end of February. I moved into this place at the end of February nearly 3 years ago, so I'll be damned if I'll go past the three year anniversary mark! That's enough of this shit that's for sure.

Mostly I just want a place that I can decorate and make feel like a home. A place that I actually picked out, with furniture that I chose, in an area that I want to be in. I'm so sick of staring at bare living room walls, with ugly brown floral patterned couches, with that disgusting blue extension cord going from the living room to the kitchen just so I can plug in the microwave. It's just not worth it anymore.

So, my list of stuff to get before February 1st/March 1st, 2011:

-New Mattress and bed frame (not a necessity cause mines not terrible but if I see a good deal then maybe, at least a mattress anyhow!)
-Couches (or used if they're in good condition and are actually NICE)
-Coffee tables (same as above)

-Pictures/Frames/Artwork for the walls
-New Dishes
-Bookshelf(ves)
-Kitchen Table (believe it or not, its been almost 3 years since I've sat down at a proper table for dinner in my own house)
-Computer Desk
-Dresser (or bedroom set if there's something on craigslist or on sale in a store for cheap)
-TV
-New Computer (this one is going to be a necessity real soon, this sucker is ready to crash real soon.)

That's all I can think of for now. Moving is never cheap which is a big reason as to why I've avoided it for this long. Also because moving sucks in general... but I'm certainly ready for some different scenery. I think for Christmas this year I'll just ask for gift cards to IKEA/futureshop so I can get some of this shit. I know my parents hate giving me money or giftcards but it would definitely be ideal this year.

I should probably go to bed now and stop apartment dreaming. It's 2:30 in the morning for fucks sake haha.

Famous people, Trips to Paris, and Birthday Shinanigans!

Where oh where do I begin? Well, if you don't follow me on twitter or I'm not on your facebook, then I'm going to plaster my most recent news on my blog as well. It's pretty exciting I'm not going to lie.

Yesterday was my 23rd birthday and it was by far the best birthday I've ever had in my entire life! Last years birthday was one of the first birthdays I've had where I truly enjoyed every minute of it. But this years birthday? It kicked the shit out of last years birthday! (No offense mom cause yours and Wendy's surprise was amazing, but I think this takes the cake! haha)

So I'll start from the beginning.

I had to work yesterday from 10 till 7 so I got to work and had a pretty quiet morning in terms of my schedule. When we have free time we either clean, work on mannequins, or go marketing and hand out our cards. Bre and I decided that we'd go marketing so while we were out she got a phonecall to tell us that we had to come back because I had a walk in. So I went back to the salon to see this awesome looking dude with tattoos and a gnarly beard. His name was Jean Paul, so I shook his hand and grabbed a robe, and went and sat down to talk. I started the scalp massage and asked him if he had any plans for the day and he told me he had a concert that night. Me being completely oblivious asked "Oh what concert?" and he says to me "I'm the drummer for a band called Clutch, we're playing tonight at the PNE. :)" I was just like "fuck off." HAHA not even kidding I couldn't even remotely be smooth about it. I was like "Oh my god I saw you guys play in England like 4 years ago at Download festival!" and he's like "YOU WERE THERE?!" so we got to talking about that show and so on and so forth as I started to cut his hair. I even jokingly slipped in there "okay so in other words I better make this look good cause people see you... a lot, of people, see you." HAHA he laughed and was really rad. We gave him a nice tight fade, trimmed up his beard and moustache and he was on his way.

Being that it was my birthday I thought that was pretty cool as it was. It honestly made my whole day because well, I'm cutting someones hair who I've actually seen perform before and has been in this band for 20 friggen years! It's also a really cool thing to happen at such an early stage of my new career.

So shortly after that I was in the backroom and my manager Nicole called me from the other side of the back room. (We have two back rooms, and there is a big open window/hole thing that we talk back and forth between.) So I went around to her side and she was like "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" and had bought a delicious chocolate brownie cheesecakey goodness thing from Urban Fare for me. It was so sweet! I was like "awwee thank youuu!" and gave her a big hug. Right after that she says to me "Oh and I need you to write down your full name as it appears on your passport because YOU'RE COMING TO PARIS WITH ME!!"

I literally almost cried. I was so excited it was ridiculous! I gave her the biggest hug imaginable and was so incredibly stoked on life! I have this thing when I get really excited about something my voice gets all high and I get all red and almost play cutesy, it's weird. So basically I was doing that for like an hour afterward.

It wasn't planned that they were going to tell me on my birthday, it just so happened that they had just finished judging the commercials and people were calling my manager asking her for the name and info for who was going to Paris. It was perfect though that it just happened to be on my birthday that they told me!

Originally I wasn't going to do anything for my birthday. I wasn't even remotely feeling up to celebrating this year. I hadn't made any plans at all but after such a great day it was of course necessary to go out for drinks afterwards. We decided that somewhere with cheap drinks would be the best bet because we're all poor hairstylists and I wanted somewhere that wouldn't be too busy incase random people started showing up. I had no idea who would actually come out or what. I literally called people an hour before leaving saying "Hey, we're going to the Corner on Seymour and Davie if you wanna come out!" ... I stupidly left my cell phone at home too so I didn't even have peoples numbers so I didn't even care what was going to happen.

The lovely Erica and I! She's such a sweetheart.
I stole Ari's glasses for a few minutes. I look like a goober in them, but at the same time I am obsessed with them. They're pretty damn cute but they look a little better on her haha.
This picture makes me laugh everytime. Ari was mid story so I just had to take a picture. She's always so exaggerated when she talks, it's hilarious.
He wants to go to Paris as well now. The crazy thing is he totally would. He wants me to find out how much flights are and he wants to come at the same time I'm there. See what I mean? Spontaneous. Hence why I can't get the guy out of my head. I love when people are random like that. It makes things exciting. Dammit anyways.

Anyways, so as the night progressed we continued to get more and more drunk. And by more or more drunk I mean REALLY REALLY drunk. They had 2 dollar tequila shots on special, and mojito's were 2.99. Fuck my life was I trashed last night.

My bestie Lisa stopped in for a drink yay :)
Trying to get a picture of this girl is nearly impossible. She claims she's not photogenic, and she's not, but most days she's not too bad haha.
Still trying to get her picture but this is what happened... I find it a hilarious.
Then Erica and I decided to basically take pictures of ourselves all night.
I feel like I look SO much like my mom in this picture. Its actually weirding me out how much I see myself in her these days. I keep looking more and more like her every day! Thank God she ages well and is hot. I can only hope she blessed me with those genes!

There was one chick that was drunker than me.. And that was this chick. I don't remember her name, cause I was drunk obviously, but she was fuckin taaaaaanked. She wanted me to fix her hair, I forgot to give her a card though I think. haha she wouldn't have remembered the next day anyway!

I turned into a real gem after that skytrain ride. I for some reason got off at 29th avenue. I don't know if I passed out or what happened, but I got off at the TOTAL wrong stop. Who let me go home by myself anyways?! hahaha and where the FUCK was Erica at that point?! All I remember is sitting on a bench at 29th station, and throwing up all over the platform. Meanwhile someone was sitting right next to me. Yep, I was THAT girl last night. I'm not even ashamed of it. It was my birthday I could do whatever I wanted!

I vaguely remember the skytrain officer telling me to leave because there were no more trains coming. Which I remember knowing, but I just wasn't done throwing up yet haha. And silly me, because I do not have my phone right now, needed to get ahold of a cab because I was now stranded by myself, at 2 something in the morning on 29th ave. Luckily there was a pay phone there but I didn't know the number for a taxi. I tried looking on the phone itself for some reason but couldn't find it. So my genius drunk self decided that calling 411 would be a great idea.

The problem with calling 411 and being as drunk as I was, was that I was actually calling them to try to get a taxi. Not get the number for a taxi, I was actually trying to get a taxi from 411. I could barely even talk, I was completely slurring my words and 411 kept hanging up on me. So I kept profusely calling back, before finally they gave me the number for a taxi. I don't know how the hell I remembered it because God knows I didn't write it down, but somehow a few minutes later a taxi was there, I gave him my address, and I forget the entire drive home. I do remember getting home and throwing up in my garbage can though. Which I really would rather not remember.

Shockingly I'm not overly hungover today. Well, that's a lie, I'm pretty hungover but I've only puked once so far so we're on a roll. Although I have a feeling round two of todays puking will begin shortly. And I'll be honest, I still haven't even put clothes on. I've been walking around my house naked with a blanket. Even with my roommate home. Whatever. It's the day after my birthday, I can do whatever I want!

How long can you use that excuse for? It's probably only legit to use for the week of your birthday right? Balls.

So that was my birthday in a very large nutshell. I would say incredibly successful on all accounts!

Commercials

Remember how I entered a contest at work? We had to make commercials based on a product from our salon that we picked out of a bag and submit them for judgement. After having two months to work on these, my friend Jeremy and I finally got together 6 days before the commercial was due to film it. Both of us were crazy busy all summer so neither of us had time to meet up for it. But, thankfully we did come up with something and I find it absolutely hilarious.

With nearly 40 stylists, only 3 of us ended up actually making commercials... which makes my chances of going to Paris in November pretty damn good. I'm not going to lie though, I'll be bummed if I don't win...

Hope you guys like it!

Let's Play It Out Safe 'Cause I'm Starting To Choke

It's been a bit of a weird week. My phone is officially cut off, because I keep forgetting to pay my phonebill. Now it's added up to like 400 bucks so I'm just going to wait until the end of the month to pay it I think. That's a lot to fork out at once. Perhaps I should start remembering to pay my phonebill! I'm a little pissed off at Rogers though right now because my phonebills have been about 130+ bucks a month and it's not like I have a fucking iphone or blackberry or anything. I don't know why my bills are so much these days but for the past 6 months they've been through the roof. Time to get to the bottom of things I suppose. It's actually nice not having my phone right now. I need a bit of disconnection from the outside world, but at the same time, I miss it dearly. I feel a little bit like dropping off the planet for some reason. I have a lot going on that I want to focus on and everything going on around me can become very distracting at times.

What do I mean by that? Well, there has been about 5 birthdays all in one week, dates, friends bands playing little shows, work, invitations to things left right and center. I love having a social life, but every once in awhile I get to the point now where I'm like "Okay I'm just going to disappear for a week or two to get some shit accomplished."

My birthday is next week and I actually don't have any plans. I'm a little tired of doing double birthdays, and my friends all beat me to the punch this year on birthday weekends. Not to mention I have to work 9+ hours on the day of my birthday and won't be off until at least 7, and for all I know there might end up being a class after work that day. Exciting right? I actually don't think I'll end up doing anything this year.

Yesterday I worked at our Sinclair location. I sometimes get frustrated moving from salon to salon but I know that once I get my clients built up and booking regularly then I will stop moving around. The Pender location is a friggen shark tank. It's mostly junior stylists down there and sometimes things can get a little discouraging. It's not our busiest location and we get a lot of tourists, which is great because it keeps us busy for the time being, but they're not returning clients so it makes it tough to build.

I am incredibly passionate about what I do and I think it's the only thing that saves me sometimes. There are days where I feel incredibly inspired, and some days where I really have to remind myself that I'm doing this because I love it. Then there are days where I meet the most incredibly inspiring and interesting people and I couldn't possibly love my job anymore.

Yesterday I had a 97 year old woman come in for a blow dry. She was amazingly feisty, hilarious, sweet as can be, and undeniably full of life. When she told me her age I was floored. This woman did not look 97, she looked like someone who was perhaps in their early 70's. When I mentioned she didn't look to be her age, she commented with, "until I take my bra off and my boobs hang down to my knees!" I laughed so hard.

She was unreal to speak to. Her life story was incredible and I couldn't help but ask more and more questions. If you've never had the opportunity to sit down with a nearly 100 year old stranger and talk to them about the things they have seen in their lifetime, I recommend it! She was born a tiny nearly 2lbs baby. She was 2 months premature and wasn't expected to live through the night. Now, nearly 100 years later she's still here and she was in Vancouver accepting an award on her sisters behalf. Her sister was the first woman to ever manage an olympic team and started a huge Woman's Rights movement throughout Canada. She was being honoured at Canada Place this evening, but since she passed away many years ago, my client was going to stand up there for her and do a small speech.

We talked about The Great Depression, the wars, the ongoing war (she now lives in the States,) healthcare, her family (both of her children and her husband have now passed on,) her leukemia (she has had it for years but has never required chemo, she just takes a few pills a day to keep it under control.) ... It was unreal. After one hour with her I was just amazed. I can't imagine the changes you would see in that amount of time.

I'm in the process of getting a photoshoot set up. There's a person I found on craigslist that's looking to set up a photoshoot, the problem is they're new in the business. That's not so much a bad thing but I don't think they've ever done a photoshoot for hair, and they want to start at 9am one week from today. It's not easy finding a few models on a weeks notice, let alone a make up artist, and then starting at 9am? Yeah friggen right. It would have to be an afternoon/evening shoot because I would need the day to do hair prep. Needless to say I think I will be saying no to that one and finding someone else. I would really like to find a good team to work with. A familiar photographer, as well as a make-up artist and fashion designer. Make a good little family that understands eachother and see's eye to eye on our ideas. That way collaborating would be much easier.

Le sigh. So much to do. So little time. In other news, my chances of going to Paris in November are incredibly high. Of the 30ish stylists that work at our salon, only 3 of us ended up submitting commercials for a contest. The winner gets a fully paid for 4 day trip to Paris in November to go to the Wella Trend Vision Awards. I'm hoping I'll get to go! It would be so inspiring.

I'm off to bed now though. It's early to rise tomorrow so that I can go get tortured, I mean fixed, by my chiropractor. Really, he could do anything to me and I'd let him cause he's so damn hot. He's going to give me so much shit when he sees my back though. I already know it. Right now it's so tense it's not even funny. He'll have to massage me for half an hour before he can even get started... perhaps that was my plan all along? haha. Kidding.

From Black, To Red, To Blonde

Well... I've gone and done it again. Yet another drastic hair change which I'm quite in love with. I decided to go back to blonde. Which I will tell you was not an easy feat.

A few weeks ago one of the stylists (Cute Scottish Andrew) asked if I'd ever been platinum. I actually thought about it and I never really have been. I've been very very blonde, but never a solid blonde or platinum. I always get really blonde via bleachouts and then highlighting, never just bleaching and toning.

After this lovely little platinum seed was planted in the back of my brain I sort of became very settled on the idea of being blonde again. Afterall, it's been an entire full year since I was last blonde.

So yesterday I made a trip to the salon. Unfortunately Andrew was booked solid (well, fortunate for him, unfortunate for me who had major "I want to change my look drastically" fever.) Fortunately for me, and unfortunately for our cute little Irish stylist Bernice, one of her clients no-showed so she was able to start my hair for me. I actually haven't really had the chance to get to know Bernice since we work different days at different locations but I gotta say, I absolutely adored her! She's the sweetest girl on the planet.

Yesterday she spent 2 hours doing the first initial bleach out. The first inch of root near my scalp lifted to a perfect pale yellow, but my ends however were orange. I decided that instead of toning my hair last night that I would leave it like that over night and do another bleach out today. Basically my options were "either wait a night and get it a blonde you actually want, or tone it right this minute and end up with a darker colour than you were hoping for." I knew that pulling the red out of my hair would be hard and I was going to try to get as white as possible, but I was also prepared to potentially be a level darker than my goal level.

The condition of my hair is pretty good considering all that I do to it. I've only used demi-permanent dyes for the last 2 and a half months, and my hair is short so it is quite healthy. I also only shampoo my hair twice a week, I condition at least 4-7 times a week, and always use proper heat protecting products. On top of that, my hair is tough as nails so a double bleach out it was!

But, in order to be a good hairdresser I cancelled my original date night (cause god knows I wasn't about to let a boy see me with white and orange hair!) and hung out with my hairdresser friends Jamie and Lisa instead. Before I left the salon I loaded on a deep conditioner and put my toque on and didn't wash it off until the next morning. When I got home I loaded on some Joico K-PAK Reconstructor (which is pure keratin protein basically) as well just to make sure that while my cuticle was wide open from being bleached out I could load as much protein and moisturizing agents into the actual hair shaft as possible before putting it through another damaging process.

So I woke up this morning, washed out the conditioners and headed to the salon. I was there for 4 hours this time. I only put bleach on the orange ends and left it on for about an hour before deciding it wasn't going to get any lighter, then had Katya throw on a toner, and then Bernice came back and cut it for me.

I'm absolutely in love with the cut and colour. Katya and I picked some great toners (I used 2 colours for one side of my head, and 2 colours for the other side) in order to even out the tone as much as possible, and I love the cut Bernice did. She got exactly what I had in mind and really understood that my hair needs to be texturized like a son of a bitch. I have loads of hair so with short haircuts like mine, texturizing is necessary.

Anyways, after spending 6 hours in the salon, and a couple of days prepping my hair for the massive bleachout, this is what I've ended up with!

I have a little tail on the left side of my head. Taking pictures of the back of your head -- not so easy. The right side and all the way around the back of my head is undercut... The back mostly gets undercut because I have a retarded hairline (it grows in about 360 different directions) so I pretty much have to shave it so that the rest of my hair lies properly.

So there you have it. As you can see I still have some spots that are a little caramelly but it gives it some dimension for now. I'm just going to continue bleaching and toning my roots until the end colour grows out and I will be all white! Yaaay!

I kind of missed being a blonde.

I Can Say I Hope It Will Be Worth What I Give Up

There are simply not enough days in the week, or hours in the day, to do all of the things that I want to do.

I have decided to take the stat off tomorrow so that I actually have two days off in a row for the first time in I don't know how long. What am I doing with my day off? Sleeping and getting my hair done, and finishing up that commercial.

The filming is mostly done I think. It's due on Tuesday AHHH. I spent last Thursday with my friend Jeremy filming ALL day. It was one hell of a long day but a lot of fun. I'm really excited to see how the commercial turns out. And who knows, maybe I'll win a trip to Paris with it? That'd be pretty friggen sweet.

Fall classes have started up again which means I'm back to 11 hour Wednesday shifts. I'm actually excited about this though because we're going to get to learn some really great new things. I'm starting to figure stuff out on my own more and more, but it's nice to continue learning.

Now that the commercial is mostly out of the way, and summer activities are dying down I can finally start putting my focus on doing some photoshoots or something. I think some nice fall and winter shoots are in order. I should really try finding some photographers that are doing shoots that are looking for hairstylists. I don't even know how to go about all of this but I'll figure it out and start getting that underway. Once that's complete I think I will start dedicating my time to setting up a website/facebook page/twitter account as well so I can build an online portfolio.

I would like to have that all up and running by the end of the year. Next year I will be starting to focus my attention on the fashion aspect of things. I will be trying to get my hand in doing hair for fashion shows, photoshoots, as well as competing. I definitely want to compete in the contessas next year!

So many plans, so little time.

In other hair-related news, today was a bit of a crazy day at work! One of my lovely clients who had hair down to her bum came in for her haircut today. Yesterday we did her hair for her wedding and styled a beautiful updo, and today we cut all of her hair off! It was beyond exciting. It is seriously liberating to be able to cut off 2 feet of hair. She left with a beautiful chin length bob that suited her so immensely I couldn't even remember what she looked like with long hair afterwards! It was so exciting!

The only other crazy thing that happened today was the fact that one of our stylists almost got seriously injured today. Like could have potentially ended up in the hospital had it not been for the perfect placement of a chair. We have one station at work that happens to be an old wood based pedestal table with a marble top. On top of that marble table top sits a 4 sided mirror (think in the shape of a diamond) so that four stations can be set up there. Unfortunately no one realized that the base of the table was broken and while the stylist went to clean the mirror, she put her hand on the table to help herself stand on the chair to reach the top of the mirror. Unfortunately the whole table and mirror fell over on top of her, and this thing isn't light. The mirror alone easily weighs over 200lbs and took 3 of us to pick it up off of her. There was a chair right there though that thankfully kept a lot of that weight off of her so she got away with a bruised ribcage, a bruise and scrape on her lower leg, and a bump on her cheek. Poor girl! She was a tough one though and stuck it out the rest of the day. I'm not even going to lie, had it been me I would have been like "alright, fuck this I'm going home!" haha.

What else is new? My cousin is getting married October 10th in Salmon Arm and I'm debating whether or not it is a wise decision to go. It would require me missing about 5 days of work, which will end up costing me a lot of money, not including the cost of the trip itself. I'm not sure I will go yet. I feel awful because I love her and she's my favourite cousin, but seriously, who has a wedding in Salmon Arm when NO ONE not even her or her fiance live there?? The only people that live there are his grandparents, the other 100ish guests all have to travel from all over BC and Alberta.

I will have to post some new pictures soon or something. I really don't have many to share but I will try to find some. I'm still in the midst of just trying to find time to sleep, let alone do anything else in life. I sometimes feel like all I do is work. I'm never home anymore except to sleep. I'm downtown everyday and have made some new downtown friends so that's been consuming a lot of my time. I have literally met about 30+ new people in the last two weeks outside of work. I can't even begin to remember all of their names, it's a bit crazy.

I think at the end of the year when I'm a little more settled with work and I get a raise, I will be moving downtown. I am so over Burnaby it's not even funny. 2 hours of my day is spent commuting just to get to a place where all I do is sleep. I don't even think I eat here more than once a week. I think I'm going to move into the West End, although I would looove to live in Coal Harbour. I'm going to get rid of my car and be done with it I think too. I don't seem to miss my car too much right now seeing as how my license is suspended. (At least I think it is, I haven't mailed in my license but I'm pretty sure it's still suspended anyways...) I've seriously dropped 5lbs just from the amount of walking I do now which is great. I am at least getting enough exercise now to balance out my shitty eating habits.

I'm so excited to have two days off in a row. I was going to go out and shoot guns tomorrow, but I really wanted to get my hair done instead haha. One of the stylists I work with planted the platinum seed in my head a few weeks ago and now I can't stop thinking about it. So I'm cutting off an inch of hair, (two off my longer side) and bleaching that shit right out. I'll post pictures tomorrow night or something to share I am sure.

As for right now? I'm going to catch up on some sleep. I may or may not have been drunk two nights in a row which has resulted in about a total of 6 hours of sleep for the weekend. On a good note, it turns out I can drink beer and tequila in the same night and NOT puke the next day. I'm running an experiment right now to see which alcohols give me the worst hangovers. It's not the most enjoyable experiment, but it might do a world of good in my future! It'd be really nice to not barf like a bulimic every time I have anything to drink. I could just stop drinking all together, but there's no fun in that.
