As a christmas gift I asked for my parents to help pay for part of my flight since it's gonna cost 560 bucks.... I told my dad about booking the flight and what days I would be there... this was the reply:
Hey Marlee that sounds good.I will see what I can do to help you out with your flight. Will 5 dollars do?Banana bread sucks you have to make banana chocolate chip muffins. They are much better.Hannah is pretty excited about you coming home so that will be nice. She misses you a lot.We all do.I love you lots and I will chat with you later.....dad
Damn you and your "we all do." Seriously! I can't even handle it.

Holiday extravaganza
Alright I lied. I won't post those pictures today and it feels like it's getting too late to post them so we'll see... maybe when I get home from Dario's tomorrow night I'll find time to post them.
I booked a flight home for Christmas time. I will be going home from the 20th to the 27th and spending a week with my family. I gotta say though, the more I think about it the more I realize how much I'm going to miss Christmas here with Dario and his family. In an ideal world my family would live here too so that we could all do Christmas and each of us could go visit the others family etc and not miss out. I booked the flight for the 20th because it's a Saturday and then I only have to take 3 days off before Christmas so I don't miss TOO much time. And then I return on the 27th because I want to spend at least Sunday with Dario since I won't get to do Christmas with him. :(
I don't know what's worse? It kind of makes me sad because I feel like I'm choosing. It's so weird.
Why am I even thinking about Christmas it's not even halloween yet fuck.
I'm baking banana bread and banana muffins. They smell delicious. Why I'm baking at quarter to 10 at night is beyond me, but I was cleaning the kitchen and I saw those banana's gettin gross so I decided to put them to use. A snack for tomorrow. :)
I am going back to school on January 5th now. I decided it'd be a nice time to go due to crappy weather.
Tomorrow I have to work at the airport... which means by the time we leave the shop and get into the airport and get set up and get everything we need and blah blah blah, we'll probably get maybe 3 hours of actual work done and then off to home. Not to mention we'll have to drive back to the shop and then to our homes. So yeah, probably 3 hours. Pretty easy day it sounds like.
I learned how to weld aluminum today, it was kind of exciting.
My sheets are in the dryer and I'm waiting for them to hurry up and dry so I can make my bed. I have this sudden urge to clean all night but I can't cause I have to work tomorrow. So I won't. Guaranteed the urge will be gone by the time I get off work tomorrow but whatever, I have to clean because Krystal gets home Thursday and I can't stand cleaning when anyone else is in the house and because Halloween party is on Friday. Looks like it's just going to be a couple of us getting together for a few drinks and some games and what not. I need to put my creative mind to use tomorrow to think of some games. Danielle what is the deal with spin the bottle? haha what are we spinning the bottle for?? I don't quite understand.
Muffins might be done. Totally random post. Whatever.

If you're a guy starting to read this I suggest you stop here.
Sorry ladies, I'm in too bitter of a mood to reflect this weekends happy events. So I'll post that tomorrow when I'm not such a cranky pants.
It probably doesn't help that I've had like 3 hours of sleep if even that, and had a very boring/unproductive day at work... but I think the doctors appointment today became the tip of the iceburg and I became the frickin titanic.
All of my results have come back fine. My blood test results in august were all in the norm, my blood pressure is damn near perfect, my thyroid levels are fine, and my ultrasound was clear of any fibroids, cysts and any other things that shouldn't be there.
Good news you say? You would think so. Today I had my appointment to go over the ultrasound results since I was told everything looked okay by the ultrasound tech. but you still have to discuss the complete results with your doctor.
The doctor asked me why I was there and I told him, he clearly didn't remember me. ( he's now one point down on my scoreboard.) He then asked 'why did you have the ultrasound again?' ... So I told him. I can't expect him to completely remember me seeing as how I'm a new patient so I gave him a bit of a break. He proceeded to ask me a few more questions of what was going on, (as if we hadn't already gone over this once already?? Shouldn't there be a record of this in my file that you should have with you??) ... I explained to him the different prescriptions I've tried and the results I've had with them. I told him complications I'm having with the new birth control that I am on.
Then the jackass decided to ask if I was pregnant. HAH. Last time I checked women didn't consistently get an extremely heavy full blown period on time every month when they were knocked up. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's usually not the case, I'm sure it's happened, but it's an unlikely culprit. I replied with a "hah, I should hope not." And explained that there was no possible way I could be pregnant.
After this series of "winner" questions, I had started to lose my patience a little but kept it under control and hoped he was tiring of this game of 20 stupid questions. But nope, wrong again, he had plenty more useless things to say and by the time I walked out of there I wanted to slap him.
After clearly stating the extent of the pain and how frequent I get it, how bad I get it, and the unusual times I get it, as well as all of the other gross details of excessive bleeding he says to me: "It sounds like PMS. Have you tried an anti-inflammatory like advil?"
I wanted to turn to him and say "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?! Oh I'm sorry I must have overlooked the bottles of advil and midol and the prescription anti-inflammatories and muscle relaxants that are piled in my medicine cabinet. Clearly I must go back and try this new invention called ibuprofen and perhaps it will miraculously cure my pain!"
FUCK YOU.
"It sounds like PMS." ... I will tell you I only wish I could have punched him in the fucking face right then and there. Any girl knows that that's a line that no man should ever recite. Doctor or not.
So after all of this retarded escapades and explaining the methods I've tried that HAVEN'T worked, he asks me 'have you tried mefenamic acid?' ... yes I have, about 2 or 3 years ago and it didn't help and it just caused me to feel really really nauseous and puke my guts out. So he prescribes it again because its 'been awhile and maybe it'll work' and to 'eat it with food.'
Along with my prescription he handed me a piece of paper for more blood work on some other stuff having to do with my kidneys and hormones and an entire hematology profile to make sure there's no underlying problems. After he did that he said 'and at some point we may have to send you to see a gynocologist.'
I guess the only thing I can do is stick this asshole out until he decides to send me to someone who specializes in this field.
I think today's appointment was the worst of them all. Had I only walked out of there with a prescription that I've already tried that didn't work and makes me puke, it would be doubtful that I would ever go back to him.
I just don't get it, the last time seemed so promising like he was gonna possibly get somewhere with it and he comes up with 'oh it sounds like pms.'
It is so fucking frustrating, no wonder women never know what their problems are, they all give up at some point because it feels like there aren't any doctors that take you seriously and don't think you're fucking crazy.
Sorry for the rant. Tomorrow I promise pictures from the weekend and nice things to say.
I'm going to watch Sex and the City.

Kick me. I want you to kick me.
I can't sleep. I have to get up to get ready for work in 4 and a half hours. Why do I have a stupid job that starts so friggen early, GAHD. Most days I like the early job so I can get home early... today?... not so much.

My Ipood needs fixing
I feel like crap again, woohoo. Yesterday I had really bad pains in my ovary and it has carried itself into today. Thus making me exhausted feeling and sore. So I have stayed home. I had a doctors appointment booked for monday, and now I'd just rather go in today, but oh well I think I'll wait it out till Monday anyways.
My pill so far is kind of sucking, so I'm on the last month of the trial portions and if this month goes badly then I guess I'm going to have to try something else. Another woohoo. Ah well, all of my other medical files have been transferred from the last clinic I was going to, and now everything is at my new doctors place, so I can continue on the journey of figuring this stuff out.
For some reason I have a really bad headache and all I want to do is sleep and sleep and sleep some more. I slept for 13 hours and I'm still exhausted feeling. It's stupid. I'm in my 'ovulation' time and I seem to be consistantly getting pains like this after every monthly thing, so maybe it'll lead us to some answers.
I found out that my aunt has cysts that burst every month while she's ovulating, and my cousin (her oldest daughter) has endometriosis. My grandma and two of my other aunts have all had hysterectomies, and the rest of the females on the McConnell side (they're all women on my dads side so it's just like a family shitty period gene or something) have problems too. I hope if I ever have a daughter she never gets this crap, I already am feeling nervous for my little sister incase she inherits the crappiness also.
That's enough moping I suppose. BCIT phoned this morning and said that they've got an opening for school in January if I want to go then. I might take it, seeing as how it'll be the crappiest rainy weather time of year, and it might be nice to just be sitting in a classroom around that time haha. It's pathetic that I plan my schooling around life events and weather. AKA I purposely didn't book any july/august/september/october courses incase I get married in the next few years. HAH. Wow I think too much like a girl. I booked may/june last year so that I could 'sunbathe' after school was out haha. Oh sigh... January just might be a good time to go.
I think I'm going to crawl back into bed and be pathetic. And quite possibly take some frickin advil for this retarded headache.

Violence is not the answer :p pfffft haha
I wasn't sure if I had anything to blog about, but thanks to Danielle I've now been punched straight up in the face and have a few questions to answer I suppose. So here it goes.
5 things I was doing 10 years ago:
10 years ago, my god I don't even know if I can remember that far back.
1. Celebrating my 11th birthday haha. (And you think you're young Danielle :P no no no haha)
2. Taking care of my brand new baby sister and dressing her in different outfits about 5 times a day because she had so many cute ones!
3. I began growing my hair out for the first time in my life.
4. Getting straight A's in school.
5. I stopped taking carriere (the native language) and started taking french to prep for highschool and experienced for the very first time the awesomeness of poutine.
5 things on my to do list today:
1. Invite Melissa to have a girls night with Alicia and Danielle and I. Melissa, you are officially invited hahahaha. (check one off my list w00t, no joke I have it written on my hand.)
2. Look at finding flights back to Prince George for Christmas time.
3. Book a doctors appointment.
4. Get the rest of the info I need to register my guns.
5. Make chicken enchilada's for dinner! yummy!
5 snacks I love:
1. Dill pickle chips WITH dill pickle dip. HAHAHA soooo gross I know but I love it. I'm all about the dill.
2. Sour candies or sugar coated candies mmm.
3. Cheese. Possibly wrapped in a piece of lunch meat haha.
4. I have a new obsession with kiwi fruit.
5. Spitz. I always eat them when I'm at work, every single day haha.
5 things I would do if I was a millionaire :
1. Pay off Dario's house, sell it, and then build a brand new one with a ton of property for children and pets to run around on one day.
2. Sell my car and buy a truck. Preferrably a sierra or silverado. And then give it a nice big lift kit and some fancies haha. wow I'm a redneck :|
3. Quit my job, register for hairdressing, and do what I truly love more than anything.
4. Buy my family a new home closer to me and set up a retirement fund for them so they never have to worry again.
5. Pay for my siblings schooling.
5 places I’ve lived:
1. In a trailer 'court' hahahahaha of course in Fort.
2. With my aunt in Fort.
3. With my parents in Fort.
4. North Burnaby with a very cranky cop.
5. A new part of North Burnaby with my wee little chinese roommate haha.
5 jobs I’ve had:
1. Babysitting for all sorts of people.
2. I was at one point a paper carrier hahaha. W00T.
3. At a restaurant/deli.
4. At 2 different mills during and after the restaurant job.
5. And currently I work in a steel fab shop.
5 people I punch:
1. Alicia
2. Dario
3. Ophelia
4. Chad
5. Pat
I don't know enough people dammit so deal with it hahaha.

Floozebag
I ordered my moms christmas present tonight. I fell in love with this necklace, secretly I want it, but I think it would look beautiful on herrrr and the purpose of shopping on that website was to find her a necklace for christmas.
It's a little early I know, but at the same time I'd really like to get ahead on that this year because normally I rush around big time closer to the day and then panic because I can't find anything I want to get people.
I have yet to figure out what I want to be for Halloween. I suggested italian mob couple to Dario but he felt it was a little too cliche and so I told him he can think of some friggen ideas cause I'm going crazy trying to think of some and my ideas are getting shot down haha, so it's his turn to figure it out.
I'm having so many ideas of what to get my sister for Christmas, but I'm so tempted to get her a hair straightener. I don't know if she would like it or not, cause she's still into other stuff too so I just don't know dammit. She's getting to that age where she's starting to care about her looks and what not... and I can tell because she's obsessed with how hairy her legs are and really wants to start shaving but her mom won't let her yet. I think I've finally convinced Cheryl to let her though cause my sisters legs are so hairy haha she has the same problem as the rest of the McConnell family. Everyone in my family has hairy legs.
It was funny because Hannah was bugging my brother about his mustache one day, and my dad said to her 'Don't worry Hannah, you'll have one one day too!' HAHA the poor girl is probably mortified and scared shitless that she's going to grow a stache by the time she's 15. Poor poor girl. We all have one though haha. She's doomed.
I'm going to have an early bedtime tonight. I've been tired both days this week at work, I'm having a hard time getting back into this working business.
To be honest I'm quite sick of my job right now. I'm sick of the useless petty jobs that I'm doing and it's driving me up the wall. And by petty I mean VERY petty. AKA... they will walk right past a full garbage can, walk past the garbage bin that you dump the garbage into, walk over to me and ask me to go and take the garbage out. Like are you serious? You couldn't have picked it up and dumped it on your way over here?? I just don't understand the logic of it, I mean yeah we all hate doing shitty jobs, but it takes two minutes to do, and meanwhile this person hunts me down and has me walk inside and do it thus making the job take 10/15 minutes when it could have been done in 2. Where is the logic? SOMEONE tell me because I am going crazy with all the disorganization of stupid things like that.
It doesn't help that things are extremely slow again making it impossible to keep busy for an entire day so time is crawling for the 8 and a half hours we're there for. Whatever though. I'm going to look into more job options incase layoffs get worse and I end up getting laid off too.
I'm still adjusting to the new hair cut. It feels very short even though it's not that bad. It's just because I have bangs now and the back is short again. The front isn't really any shorter than it used to be but I have like no hair left. It feels so thin, like it's not even my hair haha. It's great!
I love getting my haircut, it's so therapeutic. I like the new do, it's just weird when I wanna put my hair up and I only get this dinky little ponytail again haha. But Dario said he liked it, and that made me happy. He never says he likes my hair. He always likes it the opposite of what it is. So whatever dammit haha. I got a 'your hair looks good' and I will settle for that. Because in girl language that really means 'your hair is awesome' hahahahahaha. pffffffft as if.
My mom bought this watch awhile back, it's a moschino watch. It's really cute but she said it looked too big and gaudy for her tiny little wrists and hands. So she asked if I would like it. I put it on and it's super cute. So I said heck yes and took it. The friggen pricetag on the thing said 310 bucks. It was brand new, and she bought it for a 100 on bids.com or something like that, and she was giving it to me for free. So why not? haha it's such a cute little watch though, and I needed one.
I feel like doing nothing all night. AKA lay on the couch and watch tv. Sounds like a good idea to me.
It's a little early I know, but at the same time I'd really like to get ahead on that this year because normally I rush around big time closer to the day and then panic because I can't find anything I want to get people.

AKA... they will walk right past a full garbage can, walk past the garbage bin that you dump the garbage into, walk over to me and ask me to go and take the garbage out.
It's great!

A Hunting We Will Go
Well, we are finally home in the city and it feels rather nice to be back. It's been a very long, exhausting, entertaining, and emotional week. Leaving this time really sucked, I guess because I spent that much more time with my family and didn't feel like I was ready to leave yet. But this morning while we drove home I realized I was definitely ready to come back even though I miss my family like crazy.
I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I would have liked, but that's okay. Every day was pretty damn busy it seemed. Saturday morning we left at 4:30am. We got into PG around noon or so and stopped to visit my grandma for a couple of hours. Once we got to fort we just sat around and visited for the evening. I was pretty much done for by 8 because we'd been up so early and drove for about 10 hours.
Not even 6 hours into the trip the first threat was made. And not even by me either, apparently I was driving Dario absolutely insane haha.
12 minutes later I ended up smacking Dario. I don't even remember why, but it was rather entertaining.

My little sister and I were dancing in the kitchen... well mostly I was dancing and trying to get her to too, but she wasn't goin for it haha.
My dog does this thing where she stares at you waiting for food, and then if you just keep dropping it on the floor she leaves her head down and stares at the floor for like a minute just waiting for you to drop the next piece of meat haha.
On Monday we just hung out at the house and ate some leftovers, since there were tons. I made a cheesecake for dessert and Dario had to have a bit of the cheesecake and the pumpkin pie the next day.
We went down to the lake afterwards to take some pictures but it was so windy that it blew my camera all over the place so I gave up pretty fuckin fast haha.

Finally on Tuesday morning we headed out to Dem Lake. We somehow took a wrong road that my dad was POSITIVE was the right road, however he was highly mistaken when we discovered that the road had been deactivated and we'd spent half an hour driving in the wrong direction. We figured out after we made it back to the main road that we took the turn too early, and it was in fact the next left haha.

This was supposed to be where we were going to hang our moose. But we didn't end up getting any moose. The second day my dad, aunt and I went to get firewood and as we came down the road two moose ran across. Apparently they are blind and missed them completely so I pointed the fuckers out and we tore up the road to try to shoot them if we were able to. Everyone of us had tags for something it seemed. We could basically shoot anything with antlers, and baby moose. The two moose that I saw at the top of the hill ended up being a bull and a cow, however bulls are a lot smarter than cows and tend to run off and hide better. The cow just stood there and we probably could have shot her five times over if we wanted to, but we didn't have a cow draw so we had to let her be. My dad took a shot at the bull but it was basically a once in a lifetime shot if you got it seeing as how the only part of the moose you could see by this time was the top of his head, ears and antlers. It was a clean miss at least and somehow the thing just vanished. We actually thought he'd got it cause the moose disappeared so fast and didn't make a friggen sound, which is kind of unusual considering the shit the thing had to run through, but we looked around and there was no blood and no moose. So at least he got away without being injured instead of taking off and dying somewhere we couldn't find him.
Dario setting up some camp stuff. And all of the junk we brought out with us for 3 friggen days. WAY too much stuff.
Tuesday night was a full moon and the whole sky was so bright. I couldn't get a decent picture of it though so I gave up pretty fast and hopefully Dario got a better one.
My dad had this ridiculous hat... it was soooooo redneck haha. I made fun of him so bad but the thing ended up coming in handy. It's a camo hat that says 'fort st james BC' on it or whatever, and it's got 4 little LED lights on the brim haha. It looked so ridiculous when he turned it on.

I was trying to get a picture of the fact that we had two fires on the go but instead I apparently got my aunty pulling up her ginch or long johns or something haha.
No pictures were taken of me after this, I was so greasy it was disgusting. I didn't wash my hair for like 3 days, and hardly changed my clothes since it was rather chilly out and I didn't feel like freezing my bag off just to change into 'clean' pants. Whatever haha.

My dad can't ever crack eggs without at least breaking a few yolks but this time it made it look like a smiley face of eggs haha.

hahahaha My aunt also looked quite rough and since her hair is so short she looked kind of like she was bald so I had to laugh at her.
A few days before we got into camp there were some locals out there the week before. It ended up being a friend of mine with his family and they took out 6 bulls, so I'm pretty sure that's why we came up empty handed. This is where the assholes hung their moose, not impressed haha.
Yes that is a rabbit haha. I couldn't believe he shot a friggen rabbit. He shot more squirrels and rabbits than anything else that week. But he was happier than a pig in shit doing it so it was all good haha. We cooked Mr. Bunny up for my moms dogs when we got back.

Our view the last morning we were out there for. It was beautiful outside that day.
My mom trying to get the boys to hold baby Reese. haha Art wasn't having any part of it... I'm pretty sure the words "You always fucking do that get her out of her I don't want to hold her' came out of his mouth. He's def. not a kids kinda guy, hence why he never wanted any and never had any.
Dario was lucky and after the girls left he was able to just go to sleep and not put up with a bunch of noisy chicks.

Amber jumped out of her car with a wine glass and already an empty bottle or two of wine. She was liquored up before she even got there I guess haha. As you can tell.
Yes that is actually a stuffed wolf, wearing a friggen halloween mask. Only in fort haha.

There was some hippy tree planter chick there and this was the guy she was with. He asked if we wanted him to take our picture as a big group so we said sure why not, however his crazy hippy girlfriend insisted that we had to take a picture with him? Whatever haha.
This is what a true indian looks like, and wears. No word of a lie haha. He totally thought he was awesome for this, little does he know it was actually quite brutal.

I wasn't in the best of moods after having to say goodbye. Josh was still on his way home from Volleyball so I came back into town around 10 to say goodbye to him as well. It was really shitty cause I'd already gone through the goodbyes with my dad and stepmom and sister, and everyone cried. Even my dad started crying so it was really really shitty. My sister was really upset and didn't want to have to say goodbye, so I promised her I would be home for Christmas to see her this year. A part of me hated spending a over a week there just because it made it that much more difficult to leave again, but I sucked it up and gave my hugs and said "I gotta get the fuck outta here before I can't stop crying." ... So we laughed a bit and Dario and I drove back out to my moms to sleep for the night and leave in the morning.
This post is retardedly long and it seems really bleh because I'm still in a bit of an upset mood but I wanted to post the pictures and talk about our week. I wish my family was closer... I miss them like crazy.
I've got my guns laying on my bed, a shitload of stinky laundry that's waiting to be put in the washer, and a ton of stuff to put away... and I really feel like doing nothing but maybe moping a bit.

Sunday was thanksgiving dinner. I promised my family I would cook this year, so I half assed it since my dad wanted to go out grouse hunting in the morning/afternoon. I came over at 8:30 or so in the morning to get the turkey ready and in the oven. My lovely father wasn't using his head and said the only turkey he could get was a fresh 13kilo turkey. AKA like 30lbs. It was absolutely ridiculous! It took like 7 hours to cook but it turned out quite well.

We made breakfast the Thursday morning after an early morning hunt that came up empty handed. I went out with my dad and we found this really great area. As we came around the corner to a nice cutblock with a lot of decent growth happening there was a cow and her calf standing in the middle of it. About a 300 yard shot but totally manageable and wide open. Again though, had we had a cow tag we could have shot the stupid thing a billion times. However it was her baby we wanted and she wasn't having it, the stupid bitch stood in front of her calf the entire time so we couldn't get a clean shot so that sorta sucked. I was hoping to bring home some meat but whateva. It's all the nature of the sport! Next year I'm going for a cow draw though, they're a hell of a lot easier to find it seems... and a lot stupider than bulls haha.
After our cow and calf sighting we came back to camp to tell everyone else what my dad and I saw... Dario responded with 'haha check out my kill hanging on the line' ... this is what we found:
The last night we were there we had a nice little snow storm. It was good weather the entire time we were out, and only got down to -8C on the coldest night. The snow flakes were huge and really wet so Dario and I just went in the tent and played some card games and went to bed insanely early. Although it was usually pitch black outside by 7pm so it felt way later than it actually was.
After getting back into town I jumped in the shower and washed my hair a billion times and went to the hairdressers. 6 bottles of wine later I came out with new hair, which i think there's a part of that was a bit of a screw up but I guess that's what happens when you get drunk with your hairdresser. My mom and I had appointments and my friend Kat also had an appointment just before mine so we all met up there. A little later Wendy, Stacey B, and Chrystal came out. Stacey brought her daughter Ayla for a bit and then dropped her off with the babysitter. And Chrystal had her two kids with her as well but dropped one off with his dad quite early.
We went out to my moms place and fixed up our faces and decided to have a couple more drinks before we headed to the bar. As if the wine wasn't enough. My friends Amber and Shilo drove up from PG for the night but after my moms I didn't end up seeing them because apparently they didn't make it to the zoo that night haha I have no idea what happened there.

We rounded up the troops and drove into town to go to the disgusting bar. This is what I was welcomed with:
Sigh. I didn't take hardly any pictures once we were actually out since Rupi the camera whore took control of that situation so perhaps I'll steal her pictures whenever she posts them. I ended up being quite hungover on Saturday and my mom decided it'd be a fuckin awesome idea to make us go for a walk with her around the farm. I nearly died I was so sick already so needless to say I felt quite crappy till about 3 in the afternoon. I had to force myself to eat just so I'd start to feel better, and then Dario and I ended up joining my mom and Wendy for dinner at one of the small town restaurants. Lets put it this way... Dario and I each had a burger and fries, and he had 2 beers, and our meal costed us 22 bucks. hahaha nooooot bad. I will say that obviously I've had better, but whatever the price was good haha.
The sunset was beautiful when we got out of the restaurant so we stopped to take a picture or two. Then I was off to say goodbye to my dad, Cheryl, Hannah, and Josh. My mom wanted me to spend time with her that night since I spent the week with my dad, so I reluctantly agreed even though I was hoping to stay at my dads and watch the fights and hang out there. Dario stayed at my dads to watch UFC and I went to my moms to watch the Devil Wears Prada.
