Rid me of this virus please.

Somehow I've become deathly ill with some sort of flu/cold. So instead of working all weekend like I was supposed to I have been banned to my bed. Which isn't such a bad thing.

Friday night we went over to Chad 'n Danielle's apartment to welcome Pat back into the country. Perhaps he spread me some sort of Bangladeshi disease. He put the sars in the scarf he bought me. I'm sure of it now. It all makes so much sense!! He also bought Danielle the same things but different obvs. but hers probably wasn't infected with diseases.

But no seriously, Pat brought me back a very beautiful scarf that I am in love with, and a really cute hippy purse which I can't wait to find a use for! Thanks Patz! The sars was worth it. haha.

I don't know where this illness came from, my boss had a really bad cold so I thought maybe I got it from him, but I woke up Saturday morning and felt so nauseous. I decided to start work at 7am instead thinking that maybe I was just really tired (I puke when I get really tired, it's a weird family trait) but I got to work at 7 and puked my guts out the second I got there. Within an hour I was throwing up again. At first I was like, okay what am I hungover? I didn't even hardly drink last night! At least not enough to give me a pukey hangover, so I was a little confused. So I went home to rest instead cause my boss told me to take the weekend off... but as the day went on I still felt as equally shitty. It didn't help that we had no hot water for the day since our landlord was fixing the tank or some crap, so I couldn't even have a nice hot shower. Equally shitty. So I went to bed at about quarter after 9 last night and slept till almost 9 this morning. I got up because Dario and I were going to go canoeing at Buntzen lake. I woke up with no air flow in my nostrils and a swollen and horribly sore throat. Not cool. I figured I would suck it up since I know Dario was dying to go canoeing out there, but halfway across the lake I had to get him to turn around so I could go home, I just couldn't handle it. I'm so achy everywhere, and cold, and feeling nauseous still. So I donno what the deal is. My boss just called me a few minutes ago and I thanked him for his disease, but he said I must have gotten Pistol Pete's disease cause he didn't get the pukes, just the cold portion. Perhaps my bosses immune system is better than mine. Either way I'm glad it's not the end of the world for me to take tomorrow off. We were shorted some steel so I am able to get better. Thank God.

So back to Friday night. Pat bought Dario and Chad man skirts and was trying to teach them how to put them on by demonstrating with Dario's. Clearly they were unable to pay attention as football was on and this resulted in Chad taking a very long time to learn how to tie it up.

Dario caught on sort of fast. With a few helping hands of course haha.

One day I am going to marry this:

And I don't know why....

Jagger bombs got busted out at some point in the evening. Made incorrectly but that's okay. However Chad used a double shot glass to measure jagger, not a single, therefor the jagger way out-tasted the redbull. Again, maybe not such a bad idea??

Miss Ophelia Mourne also made an appearance that evening. This was my first time meeting her so I was pretty excited. It's almost like meeting famous people when you read someones blog then meet them for the first time, they just seem so imaginary up until that point haha.

Steve also showed up wasted later in the evening. haha he said he couldn't go home in that condition, so he managed to stumble his way over to Chad's for a visit.

That was pretty much the evening. Before I knew it it was just after midnight and decided I should leave since I had to work the next morning. Then that lead me to this weekends disease. The night was very enjoyable though and it's nice to have Patz back home. I couldn't believe how long it'd been since he left, it didn't feel like it was that long, but it was actually quite awhile!

So yeah that's enough blogging for me now. Danielle, I was going to come over tomorrow with a doctors mask so I don't get you sick but if I don't go to work than I can't bring a mask home. So if you have one kicking around your house I suggest you wear it so I don't spread my germies to you and get you sick for your wedding day. That would be super lame.

Krystal just came home with a companion. She bought a fish. I am very tempted to do the same so I have something to look after until I move in with Dario one day. In which case I'll have to ditch either one or the other, Dario requires more attention and looking after sooo... 8 years from now would anyone like a non-existent fish that hasn't even been bought yet?? Just throwin it out there...

Can you say Redneck?

hahaha I'm searching through the internet right now for a new blog header. I decided maybe I'll go to my roots and find some stuff on Fort St James to see if there are any pictures. HAH yeah right. It's almost impossible finding information on our town. There's not a TON obviously, but here's an entertaining link I found. It made me laugh at what a ghost town it seems to be, although I will say this... The pictures you are about to view in this link are all NEW pictures of our town because some of this shit I haven't even seen yet haha. Apparently with all of these forestry/mill workers out of jobs they have found ways to clean up the town a little and employ people by painting everything and what not.

http://fsjamesmedicalclinic.com/_mgxroot/page_10744.html

This paragraph right here nearly killed me though:

"THE HOSPITAL • Stuart Lake Hospital is a 6 bed acute care and 6 bed long-term care facility. The hospital has a fully equipped emergency department as well as laboratory and x-ray facilities. Although there are no specialists on staff at the hospital, a full array of specialist services is available in Prince George, only 160 km away.

The physicians share on-call duties at the hospital."

HAHAHAHAHA What the shit. 12 beds?! ONLY TWELVE?! I thought there were more than that but apparently I was wrong. No wonder they have trouble accomodating people because the rooms are taken up by the homeless pretending they have health problems so that they have a place to sleep. haha bruuuuutal.

Yep. That's our welcome sign. And I love it.

There's our town. The whole "town" portion of it at least. haha tiny huh?

But I do miss this. The lake. I'm not sure who's in this picture I just found it on the internet because I don't have any pictures of it myself. But this is riding along side the East side of the lake coming up close to the T-caves.

This is the sort of stuff you find in the T-caves. Along with a crapload (literally) of bat shit.

And I actually remember learning how to do this while I was in elementary school. It was part of our daily lives there. We had the option of taking french, or carrier. I chose Carrier. They did cooler shit. Plus we'd get to eat bannock once a month. We always beaded every year, made necklaces and keychains and then soon enough moccasins etc (if you took it through highschool) but first, you had to learn how to prep the moose hide properly!

So there you go. A piece of myself... When I go up this fall I plan on taking a ton of pictures. I will get better pictures then. :)

The Madness Is Almost At An End

I finally have a chance to blog what's been going on lately. I know Danielle hasn't seen my pictures yet so I will put those up. Actually no one has seen these pictures yet so that will be good. There are many I didn't post, because they're all of Danielle and candid shots of her pretty much, so sorry to say there were some horrible ones, but I promise you I spared the nasties!

I didn't take as many pictures as I wish I would have, but there were quite a few. I guess there just weren't that many photo op moments. But there were many priceless moments. Like Danielle reading french haha. All of the best details have been shared on Alicia's blog. So you can head on over to her site to check it out. This blog isn't getting the best of attention right now so I apologize, I'm just totally dead and want to get these pictures up since I know people have been eager to see them. Danielle maybe not so much haha, she probably doesn't care to ever recap this night again as she spent half the night on the bathroom floor before she finally moved to her new bed that she was so eager to get into by the end of the night.

The empty muff diver. haha Tricked you!!

So she was fed a tequila shot instead :)

Poor Julianna had like 3 bellini's spilled all over her back. I don't really know what exactly happened here, I guess he kind of tilted the tray or something and all you heard was breaking glass and this was all you saw. Luckily they at least paid for the dry cleaning bill and dinner and drinks were free also.
Danielle being... well. Danielle haha.

Jager bombs!

After dinner we went back to the apartment to open a few gifts, in which Elise decided to give Danielle a couple more shots. Needless to say she was wasted by this point already, so she told stories about these shot glasses. She suffered majorly from all of the shots and mixing.

HAHA I captured the dirty look she was feeding somebody, I don't even know who, but it was a look of 'I truly hate you right now.'

Down the hatch.

A crazy pink feather fan that Cristina bought her. We all thought it was going to be something mischievous. But we were all fooled.

So I would like to point out that this was the point of the gift opening where Danielle pretended to read cards but was too drunk to actually read them, and finally just gave up haha. She did a pretty good job of pretending, but we still new.

The french/handwritten chocolate body sauce haha. Apparently Danielle couldn't read it because it was in French. Where as Alicia said "Danielle, just because it's in handwriting doesn't mean it's french!' hahahaha it was great. But it turns out even though the bride to be was drunk as hell, she could still see that the label was in fact in french.

Laughing at the somewhat dirty present Alicia gave her.

I had to put this up. I know this doesn't seem like it's a nice picture of her, but in fact it serves the purpose of what it was supposed to. That was her embarrassed face hahaha.

"Seriously, I just can't wait to sleep in the new bed."

haha So that was a recap, I'm sorry if I haven't put up pictures of her opening other gifts, but those were the ones that weren't so bad so I'll give the pictures to Danielle and she can decide if she ever wants to share those with anyone.

So onto other news. Last night Dario and I went to see Staind. I bought the tickets the second they went on sale pretty much because that was one thing I have always wanted to do for Dario. I have been trying to find tour dates of Aaron Lewis and/or Staind that were in places we could go (Seattle, Vancouver, etc) and up until last night there hadn't been any shows close enough to us. Luckily I was finally able to get these tickets and I am so glad I did!

The show was absolutely amazing. There were four bands, Econoline crush, Hinder, Staind, and Three Doors Down. Hinder I wasn't a fan of at all, Econoline crush actually did a really good job performing live, the guy has an awesome voice so that was nice. Dario and I were so floored by Staind's performance that we refused to sit through Three Doors Down because we didn't want it to ruin the experience haha. It sounds kind of silly but I suppose when you're only there to see one band in the first place it really isn't that ridiculous.

This was Dario's first time ever going to a concert that he's waited to go and see so I thought it was really cool. I have seen Staind once before in Prince George when I was in highschool and have always wanted to see them perform again. I will go again and again every chance I can if they keep coming back. I think it'd be even cooler to see Aaron Lewis on a solo tour though since then all of the acoustic stuff comes out and there's nothing I love more than sad acoustic music.

I must admit, Aaron lewis standing on stage with an electric acoustic singing his version of Bob Seger's "turn the page" was absolutely jaw dropping. It was just him standing on stage with his guitar and singing. No other instruments, just him, and everyone silent and listening. It was awesome. :) I haven't been to a concert since February of last year so it was awesome getting back into it with a band I've always wanted to see again. :)

Ah I'm still in awe.

Aside from those things there hasn't been anything crazy going on. Work has become insane and I'll be working like a mad man for who knows how long. Maybe a couple weeks, a month, maybe more? We don't know just yet and I'm scared to think about it because by the looks of it we might be working straight for the next month at least. Craaazy. Oh well though, it'll pay the bills.

I guess that is all for now. I am so exhausted that I just want to go to bed. I've got a busy weekend coming up. Oh and so much for ever getting to go friggen hiking this year. Thank God for the hunting trip in October otherwise Dario and I will not have done anything bush/outdoor oriented aside from canoeing. :( Some days I hate having to be a responsible adult that works too much. I also hate that Dario has to do the same.

Bare Faced Nakedness

I fell asleep at Dario's house for a bit and now I can't go to bed. Due to waking up and then watching some blue planet, then driving home and sitting, I'm now wide awake which really sucks since I got maybe 5 hours of sleep last night and had to work all day. Boourns.

I decided I would share with you what I look like without make-up though. I'm going to try this new thing where I force myself to go bare-faced out and about during the week. I never wear it to work and I can handle it then and more people see me in a day at work than people outside of work... but I'm very self conscious. Even if I'm just going over to Dario's house to relax and watch a movie, I put on foundation and some mascara mostly cause I don't like it when his family sees me looking like crap and because I have bad skin. I just feel so naked. I almost always put my eyebrows on (haha that sounds so funny but seriously I have such thin eyebrows that I have to colour them in) because I look like I have no eyebrows at all if I don't colour them in a little.

I need to find a proper face cleaner that can actually clean out the dirt I get in my skin at work. But half the problem is I have pieces of steel that get stuck in there too so it's just all bad bad bad. Who knows. I am pretty much just giving up on it all. I think today was the first time I went over to Dario's house in sweatpants, a hoody, and absolutely no makeup, wet hair included. We've been dating for almost a year and a half. That's just sad.

I'm going to bed finally. I think I'm finally tired enough. I will post an entire blog of Danielle's stagette and all of the pictures when I get a chance to do a proper post without missing anything!

Home Again??

Well I stayed home from work again yesterday and today. I feel like poo. I finally explained to my boss what has been going on so that he doesn't wonder why I'm missing so much time from work and gets pissed off and fires me or something. He understands though which was really nice. I'm hoping to find out what's wrong soon. I have been prescribed something new and I'm hoping that it will help, even if it just helps a little bit I'm willing to keep on it. I've been laying in bed since 10:30 last night and aside from getting up to use the bathroom I haven't moved out of bed until now.

On a brighter note, and sadder one at the same time, it is Sabrina and Mirko's last night here. We went for dinner the other night and the waitress didn't ask us if we wanted dessert and brought us our bill right away. So after we left we went to the marble slab to get some icecream, even though Sabrina really wanted cheesecake. Since everyone wanted cheesecake and no one was able to get it, I promised I would make one for dessert tonight. So I made a rocky road cheesecake. It looks really good. It's chocolate cheesecake with chunks of caramels in it, topped with marshmallows, chocolate chunks, and pecans, then you broil it until the marshmallows are golden brown :) mmmm It looks delicious I can't wait to eat it!

Aside from that nothing new has been happening this week. It's my dad's birthday tomorrow so I will phone to wish him a happy birthday, and then Saturday is Danielle's stagette, which I'm really looking forward to, I think it's going to be really fun!

Next week Dario and I are going to a concert so it'll be a nice night for us to do something to ourselves :) I can hardly wait for that!

That's all I really have to say, nothing overly new and exciting's been happening.

Blog Secret

I asked my sister today if she has started wearing bras yet. She said yes. I asked her if she has gotten her period yet. She said no.

I feel old because: I still think she's the same age as she was in the picture above and shouldn't even know what the word period means yet.

Tingly toes

The weekends are going by way too fast lately. Finally this weekend won't be completely jam packed with stuff to do. Aside from Danielle's stagette it's a freebie weekend. I have no idea at all how to spell that word either so deal with it. Dario you can mock me later as I'm sure you will.

Tonight is dinner with Dario and all of the Perizzolo siblings. Mirko also obviously. So I'm looking forward to that because I haven't eaten anything decent or healthy all day long and I feel pretty crappy for doing so.

My hands are particularly disgusting today. I'm talking so rough they're like man hands. It's gross. I'm going to lotion the shit out of them when I get out of the shower.

In other news, Dario's dad and uncle are going to be coming up north with Dario and I to go hunting with my family. It's pretty crazy to think about because it will be the first time my dad will meet anyone in Dario's family, and vice versa. So this should be pretty interesting, but I'm sure all will go well and I'm pretty excited about it, a little nervous but more excited. I figure there won't be much that can go wrong, all we're going to be doing is camping and hunting and eating. The boys will be in their complete glory, as will I, and a few more of my family members have decided to join in on the trip. My aunt is also going to come up and possibly drive up with Dario and I, and my brother will be there as well. My cousin Riane might come visit the British Columbia side of things which would be pretty cool since I haven't seen her since I moved here. I'm trying to talk my Gramma into coming up for a bit, and I think she's pondering it since she knows it's gonna be good times haha. I can hardly wait! I'm going to make the turkey this year also, I shotgunned it on my dad, since the last time I made one it was 10 times better than the ones he makes, so I figured I'd take over and do the thanksgiving meal this time around. They've only been doing it for me for my whole life so I suppose I can repay the favour.

La la la what else is new. Danielles bridal shower was this weekend. I forgot my camera, it seemed to be the trend of the day... So I have no pictures of that sorry. But it went really well. I didn't end up eating anything there because I had subway just before I got there because I hadn't eaten all day and was starving, so I screwed that up major but whatevs. There looked to be some good eats there but like I said... So full it wasn't even funny.

Sabrina, Mirko, Dario and I went canoing on Saturday afternoon which turned out to be a blast. (Again, we all forgot camera's so there are also no pictures of that.) It was a beautiful day for it and turned out to be rather entertaining watching Sabrina and Mirko for the first while haha. Once they figured out how to paddle away from the dock we were on our way. Crashing into eachothers canoes the whole time haha.

It's going to be sad when Sabrina and Mirko leaves, it's been really enjoyable having them here. Everything has been incredibly busy but I'm having a blast visiting with everyone. So maybe in the next year or two we can head over to Italy to visit Sabrina + family over there. I would love to go there some day, I've always wanted to!

But I think that's enough blogging for now. That more than sums up the weekend.

Orange Soda Hiccups

Some days I hate making cards. I get this image in my head, then for some reason it all goes to shit. And instead of being happy when it's over, I'm just frustrated to no end. So I'm taking a break for a few minutes. I was just sitting there watching tv when I realized 'oh my god... Danielle's bridal shower is in two days, and I'm making the card, I guess I will get on that.' so I did. But this is how it always go. I start off with a layout, the layout is nice. But then it comes down to the writing portion. I hate my writing with a passion. I don't know why, my printing is neat and stuff, but it's just not 'card material' writing, so I can't just write 'CONGRATULATIONS' or anything like that because my writing just plain sucks. So what has potential to look nice always ends up looking poopy because my writing has ruined it. At least that's how I feel. I need a frickin printer. Whatevs. The card is basically finished. I'm done screwing around with it, it'll only make it worse.

I am going to relax and watch the biggest loser tonight. I've got some chicken thawing in the sink so I can make some chicken caesar salad, yummay, but I'm not really that hungry yet so I might just cook up the chicken and prep a salad for lunch tomorrow. Thank God tomorrow is Friday!

Krystal's family is apparently leaving today and then her boyfriend is here Saturday. I actually have yet to see Krystal or her mom or her brother... I'm always in bed before they come home. She just texted me though haha, she said she saw Tommy Europe on Robson walking with his girlfriend. For those of you who don't know, I have this obsession with the Slice channel and Tommy Europe is my hero. I am jealous that she saw him and I did not hahaha.

I received a wedding invitation in the mail today from my friend Meghan. It is absolutely adorable! I thought it was the cutest thing ever and I wish so badly I could go but it's looking like a no. But I will send her something to make up for not being able to make it... and I am not quite sure what it is going to be yet. It will have to be something odd that will pertain to her and I. Hopefully I can think of something.

I don't know why I'm blogging, I'm kind of bored. Dario is out for beers with the guys, I always forget that they're weird and do their beer days on Thursdays, unlike the rest of the world that usually does them on Fridays. Whatevs. He sounded like he was having a good time, and thursday's are the best days for good tv shows. It's like the greatest line up ever. Rich Bride Poor Bride, Bulging brides, The last 10 pounds bootcamp, the biggest loser. Fuck, it just doesn't get any better than that! haha. Oh I lead a sad life sometimes.

I suppose I should get back to this card and finish my little blurb in it and leave it be! Then more tv and bed! woohoo!

Possibly some answers soon??

Home from work again. I finally went to the doctors, I got blood taken today. And I will go back and get more blood tests done in a week or so. I don't mind needles, I just can't look at them. You can go ahead and stick them in me, but I can't actually watch you do it. So today I was looking away and the nurse sort of laughed and goes 'are you afraid of needles?' I was like 'no I'm not afraid of them per say, they just gross me out and I'd rather not look at my blood squirting into a tube.' So just as I said that I looked over at my blood squirting into the tube and was like 'yeah no definitely not my idea of a good time' and looked away again haha. She started laughing because apparently it's funny to her but finally agreed that it isn't the most pleasant thing in the world. It's odd though, because piercings don't bother me, I can watch people getting piercings, and I've had a ton of them myself, but something about actually sticking a needle into your vein and just leaving it there for a bit while your body pumps blood into a vile or two or three, is just yughy.

I'm glad phase one of the blood test escapades is over with though. I don't have much energy so I went and bought some orange pop and some tostito's afterwards. I'm hoping that might replenish me a little so that I can wake up a bit. We are supposed to be having dinner at uncle willy's tonight but I am not sure if I will be going yet. I would like to try, but my philosophy has always been 'if I am too sick to go to work I am too sick to go out for fun' ... which comes from my dad always telling me 'if you're too sick to go to school then you must be too sick to do anything else, so no you can't go out with your friends.' haha. It worked wonders for whenever I played hookie from school.

I finally got what I needed in the mail from my dad, which was nice. So now I can finish making cards and what not. My dads birthday is on the 22nd so I need to make him one as well which I think I will work on tomorrow night.

Dario came over last night and I made spicy chicken caesar salad mmm and he wanted pizza so he got that, so we both shared and were so full afterwards. We both still managed to stuff back dessert though even though I thought I could burst at the seams in any given moment.

I am off to go eat my tostito's and drink my orange pop though, and perhaps now that its 3pm something interesting will be on tv.

Wedding Central

It's all over! for now. haha at least for a couple of days. I can finally just rest for a night and have nothing to do, which I am really looking forward to. However my roommates mom and her brother are here for the next 3 days, and then her boyfriend is going to be here on Saturday, which basically means I won't have any space to myself until they're all gone, so I have another two weeks or so possibly even more to deal with more people. Boourns.

Sabrina's wedding was amazing, I had so much fun! I took a ton of pictures and I've uploaded some of the good ones on here for everyone to see. The day had went surprisingly well and nearly stress free. Aside from Sabrina losing her garter the morning of the wedding everything else went pretty much without a hitch. It was pissing rain in the morning, but luckily it cleared up after the ceremony finished so that the pictures could be done outside like they wanted, and not even kidding, the second the last picture was taken it started to rain again. It couldn't have been any better timing.

We all danced and had a good time and no one got stupidly drunk so that was a plus as well. Everything was awesome.

It's been the most insane two weeks ever, the choir from italy was still here when Sabrina and Mirko arrived, and had finally left on Monday. They were amazing to listen to and really fun to "party" with as they call it haha, but after a week of italian get togethers everyone was pretty much exhausted and seemed to be starting to get at eachothers throats. Between their last weekend here and Sabrina's first weekend here, most of the last minute wedding organizing was done during the day, and the italian events were done in the evenings/late afternoon. Busy Busy.

This post is going to be ridiculously long with all of the pictures so I should leave the writing to a minimal.

We tried for a nice picture but sooomebody blinked.

Finally.

After I'd put her veil in and the first pictures began!

Miss Stefania!

Angelina the flower girl. So cute.

The bride!

Mirko waiting for Sabrina to walk in.

Husband and Wife! Awe <3>

This picture and the next one are my favourite pictures of the night. I love the rice in mid air!

My favourite little boys.

The shoe picture.

Bride and Groom game.

It happens everytime I get dressed up, I always spill food on myself so I tucked in my napkin.

The guys singing sweet caroline.

Getting the garter.

Aaannd tossing the garter.

The guys were dancing to Thunderstruck haha these were the results.

In the car ready to go to the hotel!

And off they go :)

I'll blog another day without so many pictures.
